Grace rushed to the computer. It just pinged, a sound it always made when it picked up something strange or unfamiliar. Something that needed to be checked.
Grace threw away the plate in her hand. The fries on it flew around the room.
"Poor fries!" Raymond moaned with a sad face. Grace seemed to have grown more interest in this, than before.
"No. You are caught" she hit the keyboard hard and stood up from the computer. It seemed she was preparing to go out.
"What happened?" Raymond blocked her way. At least, she should tell him something. Agreed he wouldn't be allowed to go with her.
"I'm sorry, Raymond. I need to be fast. This is urgent" she pointed at the monitor. She was breathing heavily.
"You know it is funny the way you handle this like you are the only one involved. Accepted,I won't be going out until I can take people out with a breath. I don't know if that is possible though which means I am forever grounded. You can still make me h
"Do you want to die? You could have just died" Grace was very upset with Raymond. She was just upset irrationally. He saved her life. She should be grateful for that. Raymond looked away from her. He might also get angry if he didn't.He moaned softly as he adjusted to a side on the bed. He was lying down on a hospital bed. His legs was raised higher than his body a bit. Heavy bandage was wound round it.Grace looked at the medical instruments in the box she just opened. She was clueless about which item to pick or what to do.She scurried to the computer. Something seemed to have just occurred to her. She opened some files that kept displaying people in some kind of some medical uniforms performing surgical operations on some patients. It was like a demonstration. She wouldn't be thinking she would treat him watching some videos. He wouldn't let that happen."Bingo" she yelled. It seemed she had found what she thought she needed. The
Raymond walked to the car. He opened the door and sat beside Mayor Mount calmly. He maintained an angry face. He should know he was upset with him. He remained quiet without saying anything."I'm sure you didn't call me here to show me attitude. You must have something to say. And you better start saying it now because I am a man of limited time" he raised up his wrist to check his wristwatch for time."Your eyes and ears" Raymond used the exact words Reyes used. Mayor Mount was supposed to understand that."My eyes and my ears?" he touched his ears. "Is anything wrong with them?" he asked cunningly. He must be lying and pretending. He must have known what Raymond was talking about."Reyes told us. That wasn't good" Raymond let out. It showed jlhis lack if trust in them or he had another hidden agenda."If you are talking about my microchips in your base. Then, you will need to explain to me what you mean by bad" Mayor Mount knew what he was talkin
Grace removed the earpiece from her ear. She was angry at the same time frightened. Something bad might happen to him.Raymond could be foolish and troublesome some times. He was risking his life and thought it was fun.Grace had to do something but she was clueless right now. She went to the computers. Raymond must have left following its direction. She punched the keys on the keyboard like she wanted to break it into pieces. She just couldn't find anything. Raymond didn't understand computer so much but it seemed he knew how to cover his tracks. She wouldn't get anything if she sat behind this computers all day. She made a call to his cell. She would use that to track him if he had not separated the phone and its battery. She stood up suddenly, stunned. Raymond's phone wasn't on him. It was right here at the base. She could hear as it rang faintly somewhere near.Raymond had a death wish. He left without traces. That was a very stupid deci
Raymond mounted his bike and rode off. He remembered a pub close to the center of the city. It didn't use to be a crowded place unless it had changed recently. There would be a good place to run off to now that Grace had decided the punishment for going out was to go out.He got to the pub and looked at the surrounding. It was quiet as always. Serene, it was ideal for a place to spend an hour of someone's life. To waste probably. Because there was nothing serious he came here to do.He sat himself around a corner where he would be less disturbed by others. No one would noticed him there.A barman brought him a drink. He sipped that checking the time every time. He was already tired of the place.Grace had really changed to decide something like this. Sending him away. She might be trying to prove something. But at least, she should have let him know.He checked the time again. It was almost an hour. He should leave now. He wouldn't make it b
An hour earlier, Raymond walked out of the base looking back as he walked away. Grace took out her phone and made a call immediately he left."He is going out now" she said with his voice showing some traces of sadness."Do not worry. He won't be expecting him. That thing will only indicate after at least twenty minutes in the same place" Mayor Mount said on the other side.Grace could not believe Mr. Dallas could just leave Raymond to go without harming him. That made him search Raymond all over when he was still deep in his sleep. He found a chip on his belt. She thought it was a tracker. And if what Mayor Mount said about their base was true. Tracker wouldn't work there.Nevertheless she sent a picture of the chip to Mayor Mount who confirmed it to be a tracker but a special type of tracker. It could notify whoever planted it once it was thrown away or passed over to another person. It had a way of detecting that using some body fe
Raymond watched Grace as she dressed up at their base. She was getting ready to go out.Raymond smiled, she was still very beautiful maybe that was only to him. He smiled subtly and looked away not to let her see the smile."What?" Grace seemed to have seen his subtle smile."Nothing" he said quickly and changed his face to a more serious one. He stared at her again now without smiling."Whatever" she definitely knew that was a lie but it seemed she didn't care about what might be."So where are you off to, now?" Raymond remembered well he had been grounded until he had enough training which he had not gotten."According to the information extracted from your girlfriend by Mayor Mount...." Grace was not able to complete the sentence. Raymond had interrupted her with a finger pointed to her face suddenly"Girlfriend?" that was what had triggered his interruption. "Who gets to be my girlfriend without me knowing?" he knew who she was re
Mr. Dallas walked over to Raymond who was completely overwhelmed by fear. He held out his handkerchief on to his nose. He shook his head smiling at him."You don't want this? Don't worry. It won't be hard. You won't feel anything" he paused, staring at him all over."Why are you shaking like this? You're afraid of death?" he asked pitifully.Raymond was afraid but he could see clearly. Mr. Dallas was not just walking the way he walked. He had a defect in his right leg.Raymond smiled inwardly. He had found his weakness. He braced himself for his incoming hand. He caught the hand."If you really like putting people to sleep. Why don't you just get a kid, a baby?" Raymond asked to tease him.Mr. Dallas breathed heavily and then sighed. That definitely hurt him. Raymond smiled."Why do I get the feeling that you don't have a kid or you can't have a kid?" he pressed further."Shut up!" Mr. Dallas yelled."No. Let's talk about
Mr. Dallas was very frightened as he walked into the Devil's palace. He had done something wrong unless that he wouldn't have summoned him.He couldn't remember what he could have done wrong. He had been obedience, responsible and fast enough in the best way a servant could be loyal to his master."Here I am" he knelt on one knee in front of the Devil's throne. The Devil was standing beside the throne south his back towards Mr. Dallas."Thirteen!" the Devil screamed."My Lord" Mr. Dallas answered quickly. He bowed down in extreme fear."I thought I could rely on you about this mission but I made a great mistake" the Devil was obviously angry for something he had done which he still didn't know what it was."My Lord. I have been nothing but a loyal humble obedient servant to you and I promise to remain so for the rest of my days. I think there is a mixup somewhere" Mr. Dallas had now affirmed in his mind that he did nothing wrong. And m
