“Come in.” Julien sat against the bed frame with a book in his hands.

Velma pushed the door open. “Julien, these are your medicine. Remember to take them.”

“Thanks, mom.” Julien nodded.

“Go to bed earlier. I’ll head out now.” Velma pointed at the door.

Once Velma left, he closed his book and ate the medicine with the glass of water by the bed. He swallowed the colorful pills without any expression.
