Grant

I looked at the forest from the window of the SUV, wishing that this thing could go faster, even though we were driving as fast as it was safe to. We were in two cars: my Gamma and I in one and a few pack enforcers in the vehicle behind ours.

Stormy and I were both growing more restless by the minute, something was definitely happening to Angeline.

“Let’s shift and run!” Stormy insisted with a loud growl. I wanted to do what he said, but I had to be cautious not to cause a problem for Angel, my pack or myself.

“We can’t just arrive at someone’s pack this way, Stormy. It would raise some kind of suspicion. Alpha Aaron will wonder what the hell we are doing there. Remember, this is a diplomatic visit to discuss the acquisition of wood.”

“The only wood you should care about is the one in your pants, Grant!” my wolf barked in annoyance. Every time after dreaming of her, I spent the rest of the day with an almost full e.rection; something that not even my growing worry seemed

Grant Stormy ran at the top of his speed. He was dealing surprisingly well in his condition. Alpha Blake was right, Stormy and I should be weak and barely able to move now due to our deep wounds and the dark magic intoxication. Yet the dark magic didn’t seem to linger in our lungs. Oddly enough, Peter and I were exposed to the same amount of dark smoke, it made him lose consciousness while Stormy and I were fit enough to fight. “I seem to be resistant to the darkness, Grant. Nothing can catch me! I’m unstoppable!” My wolf barked in my mind right before his muzzle collided with a hard and furry wall. Blinking, my unstoppable wolf looked at the beta wolf who had attacked us. Snarling loudly, the Beta launched at Stormy, biting his shoulder, before clawing his side. He was aiming for the neck, since a wound there could be lethal. “That’s why I told you that I should wear a thick leather very-manly scarf while fighting. But you don’t listen to me Grant!” Stormy grumbled in my min

Angel I could hear his heart beating, he was alive. Good! After my death experience, I really didn’t like the idea of staying next to corpses. Covering my nose, I took a step closer. Despite the smell of piss, something in this man called for me. Crouching down carefully, I shook his shoulder, trying to wake him up. “Angeline,” he mumbled without moving his face off the ground. Standing up with a jolt, I jumped back twice, putting distance between me and the butt-naked weirdo. What the hell! How did he know my name? A lump formed in my throat. Was he one of the bad wolves, demons or whatever that was after me? “Angeline, he isn’t a bad guy. Can’t you feel him? Can’t you feel that something in him calls for your soul?” Dora asked softly. “Angey is normal like me, Dora! Her head isn’t lost in outer space and she isn't five years old. The only thing she can feel is how he stinks of pee! This name-calling number can’t mean anything good,” Calypso shook her head in my mind.

Grant As soon as I woke up, I felt a warmth radiating through my chest. Besides smelling the squirrel's piss, a sweet yet subtle smell entered my nose. I stood up slowly, checking at my wounds and noticing they were healing faster than I expected. Good. Where was I? Had I fallen into this cave? As if moved by some kind of magnetic force, my gaze moved towards her. Angeline. She was here, only a few feet away from me. My eyes popped open, and my forehead creased in confusion. How did she end up here? “Grant! It’s a Moon Goddess’ gift. Don’t ask; just take it. It’s fvcking nice when you wake up and your dreams come true, right? Now, let’s kiss sleeping beauty and head back home.” He was insane! No matter how much I wanted to, I wouldn’t kiss her while she slept. “You are a Werewolf, not Weresnail! Be faster, Grant, or I will take control. Let’s get our Angel and go home, so that Daddy here can eat, feast. Even though I can smell something much more delicious, I can’t smell our

Grant “Don’t give up on her, you idiot! Don’t be a loser. Come on, Grant. You have already given up on many things in your life. Angeline can’t be one of them. She is damn everything, she is my hot-headed Angel and I won’t lose her!” Stormy growled in one breath at me. “What can I do? I can’t force her to stay close to me. I can't toss her over my shoulder and take her to our pack. I am not a caveman,” I replied. “You are a man, and you are in a cave. That makes you a caveman, so stand up from your butt and Alpha-up! I will force shift and kick my own ass just so you can feel it, Grant!” Stormy warned me. He had already done that a couple of times before. In a moment, The damn wolf took control of my right hand and slapped my forehead hard. Inhaling her lingering smell, I stood up and started striding around at a relentless pace. I couldn’t impose myself on her like Stormy was pushing me to. She clearly didn’t want anything to do with me, and how could she? I was a stranger t

Grant When I returned to the cave with some fruit and a couple of pheasants I had caught, I saw Angeline sleeping, curled up like a ball. “Such a cute and hot ball!” Stormy howled in my mind. Coming close, I realised she was trembling, and cold sweat was drenching her forehead. Placing the food in my backpack, I strode towards her and leaned down next to her quivering body. “You need to warm her up with your body; that’s what a good mate would do,” Stormy barked impatiently. “We are not her mate, Stormy!” “Yet!” He gave me a wolfish grin and howled in my mind before motioning with his tail for me to get close to Angeline. Insane wolf! I took a good look at the deep wound on her lower stomach, where dark blood leaked from it. “It must be Elijah’s doing. That Demon-Wolf will pay for hurting my sweet Angel. He will see; the next time I meet him, I won’t be as merciful. I will fart in his face, kick his muzzle, and then turbo-poodle attack, lacing him with my huge tail and t

Grant Angeline and I walked down the forest in silence. I was lost in my thoughts, in my worry. What she said about her death was haunting me. “Maybe it was a metaphor, Grant. Many females say their hearts stop when they see how gorgeous I am. You see, I am the rare combination of soft puppy-like fur and my big and virile frame that screams Alpha male ready to pounce at you and make you howl my name. I am a wolf to die for!” Stormy moved his snout up in pride. “What?” I questioned my insane wolf. “A Metaphor is some kind of—” Stormy started. “I know what a metaphor means. I just don’t think that’s the case,” I dismissed him. “Angeline, back in the cave, did you say you've died?” I asked her and, without stopping walking, she replied. “Yes, I died less than a week ago. Long story short, I said no to the egotistical Alpha Aaron. As a result, he rejected my as.s and sold me to Blake, who decided to hand me to that Demon-Wolf, Elijah. For whatever hell of a reason, he killed

Grant After dealing with some urgent paperwork, I climbed a tree on the outskirts of the forest and took my notebook and pencil from my backpack. Sitting on a tall branch of a tree and drawing was what I used to do when I had to think, or needed time alone. Above everything, that's what I had to do to escape my father and his constant fury. I had to hide in the forest in a place where he would never imagine I would be, but from where I could see him coming. A long exhale left my nostrils, as the memories swirled from the back of my mind. Most days, my father didn't give me any attention, as if I didn’t even exist. I was only a spare, as he said many times. Yet every time he remembered I existed, it was either to punish or humiliate me. Scratching the pencil on the paper, I tried to focus my thoughts on something better, beautiful, yet perfectly broken – Angeline. I started the sketch with her gorgeous eyes, all their fire and sadness. “We have to check on my Angel,” Stormy bar

Elijah With a wave of my hand, I had the werewolf materialising into my den. He looked at the sides, his brown eyes wide with fear. He was one of the spies I had infiltrated the packs and called for me, saying he had important news to deliver. I transported him here without losing time since he was strategically positioned in Grant’s pack. “Give me the news!” I ordered. My patience was already gone due to the sequence of failures, resulting in both Grant and Angeline still being alive. “The redhead girl, the one you asked us to keep our eyes on, is-is there in the Deep Waters Pack. I saw her entering the pack clinic a few minutes ago,” the man told me, his face contorting with fear. His great efforts not to stumble were visible. Pathetic! “Was she with Grant?” I asked, raising my brows in rage. My aura was growing fast whilst shadows started escaping from my pores and surrounded both the coward spy in front of me and myself. Those two bloody wolves found their way to each othe

GrantAngeline and I proceeded to check the ruined car. Surveying its surroundings, she found a few pieces of torn clothes.“I can’t find my phone, but it’s not that important. I can always count on Dora’s super-reaching mind-link abilities.” She shrugged her shoulders.Fortunately, the two elite guards who escorted us here weren’t dead, only harmed to the extent of unconsciousness. The king’s army transported them to the Royal Pack where they could receive immediate treatment. They would be fine.I hauled another sign of relief. Losing lives lives of my pack was a fucking bane, a burden I would never bear with ease. And I shouldn’t. Their lives matter and always will. After gazing around the half-burnt trees of the empty meadow, Angeline joined me, melting into my embrace. We were finally alone. I could never tell her that she was enough and I loved her too.I was so empty without my Sia, my soul unable to reach hers.More words ricocheted in my mind, from the moment I first met Dora, but refused to let go of my first wolf. “Sia is gone. She sacrificed herself in an attempt to save you. Her soul shielded yours, and consequently, she took the hardest hit of Elijah’s dark magic.”Sia sacrificed herself for me!“And I will do it as many times as it takes!” Cal growled, lunging on Elijah.“No!” I screamed in my mind, I couldn’t lose my Cal-Sia again. We can’t be friends—”He interrupted me with a low growl. “Sorry, I couldn’t control the growl. I know I’m imposing Angeline. I have no right over you and I shouldn’t be here when you told me not to. After we talk to the king, I will be out of your life.” He didn’t do a good job concealing the sorrow in his voice.“No!”Grant’s head reared back, forehead creasing at my protest as he threw me a confused look.I slurred, “I mean … that’s not what I want.
