Chapter Twenty-Five: A Mother's Denial

After a few hours.

Dr. Clark Lee and St. Matthew's Hospital's Psychiatrist, Dr. John Albert, are now having a serious meeting with Eliza's mother. They already told her about what happened to Eliza few hours ago.

But instead of being all worried for her daughter, she started laughing as if she heard a funny joke.

"Eliza's really good in acting. Let me inform you that she has never gotten sick since she was a child. Why is she getting sick all of a sudden and now that she became an adult? Why now? If I were you, don't believe her." the old woman said, while shaking her head.

Dr. Clark Lee couldn't believe her reaction. It is clear as day that Eliza's mother is a good example of a narcissist. Nothing and no one matters in the world except for her.

And now, he feels deeply sorry for Eliza for suffering so long, without asking for anyone's help.
