SIMEON'S POV

I couldn't believe what Daniel had said to Emma. The audacity of him, acting like he owned everything, including her. But I had to make her understand—it wasn't over. Emma was giving up too easily, and I wasn’t about to let her.

"Tell him no, Emma. You can’t let him take everything from you," I said after explaining everything Daniel had thrown at her. My voice was firm, trying to break through the fog of doubt that clouded her mind.

"I can’t do that, Simeon," Emma replied, her voice filled with frustration. "I think I should just let him win."

"Emma, listen to me. Everything he said is nothing but empty threats. Nothing more," I said, trying to give her a little confidence, though I could tell it wasn’t enough. She sounded defeated, like she didn’t believe in herself anymore. I hated hearing it.

I could hear her breathing heavily through the phone, and it hurt me. I wanted to be there for her. "Emma," I said softly, "I think we should see each other and talk about this i

EMMA'S POVIt wasn’t long after Simeon and I had finished talking when I heard my name. Aunt Grace was calling. The urgency in her voice startled me, and I felt my heart tighten. “Emma, come quickly,” she said, her words filled with tension. I didn’t hesitate. My feet carried me to the living room where Aunt Grace sat, looking perfectly fine on the couch.“What’s wrong?” I asked, breathless and panicked.Aunt Grace shook her head, her expression calm. “Nothing’s wrong with me,” she said, her tone almost dismissive. “But you might want to look at this.” She gestured toward the TV with the remote in her hand.I followed her gaze and froze when I saw the headline plastered across the screen:“Emma Trenton Caught Cheating to Ruin Her Husband’s Life.”My legs wobbled as if they couldn’t bear my weight anymore. The words on the screen felt like knives stabbing me repeatedly. My breath caught in my throat, and a wave of dizziness washed over me.Aunt Grace’s voice seemed distant as she asked

VERONICA'S POVThe question on everyone’s lips was, “Who is Veronica Stacy?” Since Simeon’s explosive interview, where he revealed my name to the world, the media had been in a frenzy. Overnight, I had become the most talked-about woman in the country, and not in a good way. The headlines were relentless, the gossip unforgiving.“Daniel Trenton: Cheating Billionaire or Wronged Husband?”“Veronica Stacy: The Woman Behind the Scandal.”“Husband Snatcher or Innocent Victim?”Photos of Daniel and me flooded the internet. There we were, holding hands in a restaurant, walking together in the park, and the most damning of all—a picture of Daniel kissing my cheek during one of our secret dates. Those moments, once private and intimate, now felt like evidence against me.The world was painting me as the villain, the woman destroying the Trenton marriage. I hated it. I never wanted this kind of attention. I had dreamed of being known, yes, but not like this. Not as the other woman.Staying indo

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 12: AN ANGEL OR A SCHEMER?

EMMA'S POV Leaving the house was no longer an option for me. Every time I thought about stepping outside, the weight of people's judgment held me back. The situation between me, Daniel, Simeon, and that husband snatcher Veronica had made me a prisoner in my aunt’s house. The last time I attempted to go out, I regretted it immediately. It happened at the supermarket. I had gone there to buy some foodstuff, thinking it would be a simple errand. The moment I walked in, I could feel the stares. Whispers grew louder, and before long, the comments began.“It’s because of women like you that most men don’t want to get married,” a man sneered as I walked past him. I kept my head high and ignored him, pretending his words didn’t sting. But it didn’t end there. A few aisles later, another man approached me. At first, he seemed uncertain, glancing between me and his phone.“It’s you… wow,” he said, sounding almost impressed. For a moment, I thought he might say something sensible, maybe even ki

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 13: PUBLIC EYES AND PRIVATE FEARS

EMMA'S POVThe feelings I had for Simeon were no longer something I could ignore. Every text message, every video call, only made me want more. I didn’t just want to see him through a screen or hear his voice over the phone—I wanted him here, beside me. I wanted to feel his presence. This morning, I decided to act on my desire. I sent him my aunt’s house address. For the past week, I’d convinced myself that the only reason he hadn’t come over was that he didn’t know where I lived. After the text message, I finally received reply:"I’m on my way."I couldn’t believe it. He was coming. My heart raced as I paced the living room, nervously glancing at the mirror to make sure I looked okay. When I finally heard the knock on the door, my heart nearly stopped.I opened the door and there he was, standing tall, looking effortlessly handsome. His smile was warm, and his eyes held that familiar kindness that had always drawn me to him.“Hi, Simeon,” I said, squeezing my fists behind my back to

SIMEON'S POVThree days after I bought forty percent of Pixel Forge Studios’ shares, Daniel showed up at my office. I wasn’t surprised; I knew he’d try to get them back. What did surprise me was his approach. He walked in with a confident air, as if he already knew how the conversation would end. I offered him a glass of wine, which he accepted, but his focus wasn’t on the drink.“I’ll pay you twice what you paid for the shares,” he said without hesitation.I leaned back in my chair, keeping my expression neutral. “I’m not interested in the offer,” I replied firmly. He took a sip of the wine, studying me. “What about three times the price?”“Daniel, I’m not interested in your money,” I said, trying to keep my tone civil. “Don’t you get that?”He chuckled softly, placing the glass on my desk. “Why do I have this feeling that this isn’t about business? Is this your way of retaliating for me taking Veronica from you?”The mention of her name made my chest tighten, but I refused to give h

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 15: WHEN LOVE HURTS

EMMA'S POVWhen my phone rang, I was still half-asleep. My hand fumbled around on the bed until I found it. I didn’t need to check the screen to know who it was; the voice on the other end was enough.“Good morning, dear,” Simeon greeted. With my eyes barely open, I mumbled back, “Good morning.”“Are you still asleep?” he asked, and I finally opened my eyes to check the time. It was 11 a.m.“Nope, I’m awake,” I lied, sitting up and brushing my hair back.“How was your night?” I asked, trying to sound cheerful.“Bad,” he admitted, his tone heavy. “I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened yesterday. The world now thinks I’m secretly involved in drugs.”The pain in his voice hit me hard. “I’m so sorry, Simeon,” I said softly, wishing I could take his pain away. “All this will end soon.”“How? DANIEL'S POVI was on my laptop, going through some emails when a notification popped up. A new mail. It had been months since I received one on this device, so my curiosity got the better of me. I clicked on it, half-expecting another spam message, but my heart stopped when I saw the content. It was a court summons. Emma was filing for a divorce.“What?” I shouted, my voice echoing through the room. The door burst open, and Veronica rushed in. “What’s up, baby?” she asked, her tone laced with concern.I was still staring at the screen, reading and rereading the message to ensure I wasn’t imagining things.“Daniel, what is going on?” Veronica pressed, moving closer.I finally turned to her, my face flushed with anger and disbelief. “Emma… she’s taking me to court. She wants a divorce!”Veronica’s eyes widened in surprise. “Oh my God,” she whispered. “So, what are you planning to do?”“I don’t know!” I snapped, pacing around the room. “This can’t happen. • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 17: A CRUEL TWIST

EMMA'S POVI couldn’t believe what I had just heard. The judge had declared, with absolute finality, that Daniel had no properties and owed me nothing. Nothing. No properties, no money—nothing to show for years of building a life together."Daniel, one of the richest men in New York City, has no properties? How is that even possible?" I whispered to myself, disbelief coursing through me as I watched him standing before the judge. My mind reeled. What about Trenton Corp? Who owns it? I needed answers, but they weren’t coming fast enough. As the proceedings wrapped up, Veronica approached me with a smug smile. "Thanks for making all of this happen," she said, her tone dripping with mock gratitude. "I will forever be grateful." And just like that, she turned and walked away, leaving me rooted to the spot, stunned. From where I stood, I caught a glimpse of Daniel. He looked… off. There was something in his expression—unhappiness, perhaps regret. It was like something was eating away at hi

SIMEON'S POV I never expected to hear from Veronica again, not after how things ended between us. But here she was, back in New York, and already causing problems. When my secretary handed me that envelope earlier today, I refused to open it in front of Daniel. I already had a feeling it wasn’t going to be anything good. Veronica never came back without a purpose, and I knew revenge was high on her list. She was never the type to let things go. Every move she made had an agenda, and if she had reached out to me after all these months, it could only mean one thing— trouble.Daniel didn’t argue much, just smirked and shook his head. We sat in silence for a few more minutes before he got up and left. I thought that was the end of it. But exactly one hour later, my phone rang. It was Daniel. At first, I didn’t want to answer. I knew whatever he had to say wouldn’t be good for me. Veronica’s sudden return was already messing with my plans for Emma and Jason. I had worked too hard to make

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 145: LET GO BREAK SOME BONES AGAIN

EMMA'S POV Jason and Angel had no idea I was there when they had their conversation when they were at the kitchen. I was just lucky enough to hear everything. And when I did, I couldn’t help but feel overjoyed. Finally, Jason had fallen for my plans. I didn’t even let him know that I heard anything. Instead, forcedly left the house, giving him and Angel the space to make things cook well. The best part about executing a plan was knowing exactly when to step back and let things unfold. I had played my role perfectly so far, and now it was time for Jason to unknowingly do his part. This morning, Jason came to Aunt Grace’s house, where I was staying, to update me on everything that had happened since then. The moment he stepped inside, I could tell from his expression that he had something important to say. His brows were slightly furrowed, and his lips were pressed together in a straight line, like he was trying to process his thoughts before speaking. As soon as he sat down, he lo

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 144: WHEN REVENGE GETS ROMANTIC

ANGEL'S POVI had been watching them for weeks, but lately, my secret camera in Emma and Jason’s bedroom had been useless. Not because it was broken, but because they weren’t talking like they used to. They weren’t laughing. They weren’t arguing. They weren’t whispering secrets into each other’s ears like they had always done before. It was as if something between them had shifted, something invisible but heavy, creating a distance neither of them wanted to acknowledge.Emma and Jason had always been the perfect couple in front of everyone. To the world, they were inseparable. Smiling at every event, holding hands in every picture, whispering sweet nothings whenever someone was watching. But I knew better. I had seen the cracks in their so-called love since I started living with them. And when Jason told me he never loved Emma— that he was only with her for her money— it confirmed what I had already suspected. It confirmed the rumors I had been hearing, the whispers in quiet corners,

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 143: HOW TO SCAM A SCAMMER (WITH LOVE)

JASON'S POVI paced around the room, shaking my head in frustration. The idea was ridiculous— dangerous even. "I can't do this. This is a stupid plan," I muttered, running a hand through my hair. My mind was racing, and my heart pounded in my chest. How did it come to this? How did I end up in such a messy situation?Emma, lounging on the couch like she didn’t have a care in the world, rolled her eyes dramatically. "Jesus, Jason, this is not hard. You’re acting like I’m asking you to climb Mount Everest. Just make her fall in love with you. Get close to her, gain her trust, and when the time is right, create a moment where it looks like you’re about to sleep with her." She smirked, her expression full of mischief. "And then I’ll barge in with a camera in my hand, catching everything."I turned to her, frowning deeply. "And what about my reputation? Won't people say I’m just using you whereas I love her?" The idea of deceiving someone like this left a bitter taste in my mouth. Sure, I

EMMA'S POV I barely stepped into the house when Jason’s voice stopped me in my tracks.“I thought you went to get foodstuff?” he asked, his eyes scanning my empty hands with a hint of suspicion. For a moment, I just stood there, confused. Foodstuff? Then it hit me. I had lied to Jason about going shopping when, in reality, I had gone to see Daniel and Simeon for help. But the meeting had occupied my mind so much that I completely forgot to buy anything to cover up my lie.His question caught me off guard. My mind raced for an explanation, but I had nothing. No excuse. No prepared lie. I just stood there, silent. I didn’t want to lie to him again. Not when he was already looking at me with so many unspoken questions in his eyes.Jason’s face shifted from suspicion to concern. His brows furrowed slightly as he took a step toward me. “Did something happen?” he asked, his voice softer now, laced with worry. His eyes scanned my face as if searching for an answer I wasn’t giving.I swallow

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 141: PSALM 91

EMMA'S POV That afternoon, my phone rang again. It was Simeon. I had asked him for support earlier which he said he would get back to me. And now he was finally calling back. But his response was short and unexpected."I can't."My heart dropped. I stared at my phone for a few seconds, trying to process his words. Something wasn’t right.“There’s something wrong somewhere,” Jason said, sitting close to me.“Yeah, I can feel it too,” I agreed.“These two men helped you stay out of jail, so why are they refusing now?” Jason asked, his brows furrowed in concern. “Did you offend them?”I shook my head, trying to think. “I don’t know. The last thing I remember telling them was that I’m coming for them the same way I treated Liam and Hannah.”Jason’s expression changed as he considered my words. “What if they’re working for Angel now?”That question sent a chill down my spine. It made sense. Angel was manipulative, and if she had found a way to get to Simeon and Daniel, that would explain

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 140: EMMA ALWAYS WINS, BUT NOT THIS TIME

ANGEL'S POVI’ve always believed that being rich gets you everything. I mean, that’s what people say, right? If you have money, you have power, connections, and everything you could ever want. But I was wrong. I learned that lesson the hard way— watching my best friend, Emma, get all the good things in life while I was left behind.Emma and I grew up together. Her family was average, not poor, not rich— just normal. Meanwhile, I had everything. My parents were wealthy, and I never had to worry about anything. But somehow, Emma was always the one people liked more. She had this way of making people value her. It was annoying. Then came Liam. Back in high school, he was the new student, and from the moment he arrived, I thought he belonged to me. But no, he was interested in Emma. That was the first time I realized that money didn’t always get you what you wanted. But I wasn’t going to accept that.Liam should have been looking at me, not Emma. It has always belonged to Emma. She doesn’t see me the way I see her. To her, I am just another man in the background, someone who exists but never truly matters.
