EMMA'S POV

It wasn’t long after Simeon and I had finished talking when I heard my name. Aunt Grace was calling. The urgency in her voice startled me, and I felt my heart tighten. “Emma, come quickly,” she said, her words filled with tension. I didn’t hesitate. My feet carried me to the living room where Aunt Grace sat, looking perfectly fine on the couch.

“What’s wrong?” I asked, breathless and panicked.

Aunt Grace shook her head, her expression calm. “Nothing’s wrong with me,” she said, her tone almost dismissive. “But you might want to look at this.” She gestured toward the TV with the remote in her hand.

I followed her gaze and froze when I saw the headline plastered across the screen:

“Emma Trenton Caught Cheating to Ruin Her Husband’s Life.”

My legs wobbled as if they couldn’t bear my weight anymore. The words on the screen felt like knives stabbing me repeatedly. My breath caught in my throat, and a wave of dizziness washed over me.

Aunt Grace’s voice seemed distant as she asked

VERONICA'S POVThe question on everyone’s lips was, “Who is Veronica Stacy?” Since Simeon’s explosive interview, where he revealed my name to the world, the media had been in a frenzy. Overnight, I had become the most talked-about woman in the country, and not in a good way. The headlines were relentless, the gossip unforgiving.“Daniel Trenton: Cheating Billionaire or Wronged Husband?”“Veronica Stacy: The Woman Behind the Scandal.”“Husband Snatcher or Innocent Victim?”Photos of Daniel and me flooded the internet. There we were, holding hands in a restaurant, walking together in the park, and the most damning of all—a picture of Daniel kissing my cheek during one of our secret dates. Those moments, once private and intimate, now felt like evidence against me.The world was painting me as the villain, the woman destroying the Trenton marriage. I hated it. I never wanted this kind of attention. I had dreamed of being known, yes, but not like this. Not as the other woman.Staying indo

EMMA'S POV Leaving the house was no longer an option for me. Every time I thought about stepping outside, the weight of people's judgment held me back. The situation between me, Daniel, Simeon, and that husband snatcher Veronica had made me a prisoner in my aunt’s house. The last time I attempted to go out, I regretted it immediately. It happened at the supermarket. I had gone there to buy some foodstuff, thinking it would be a simple errand. The moment I walked in, I could feel the stares. Whispers grew louder, and before long, the comments began.“It’s because of women like you that most men don’t want to get married,” a man sneered as I walked past him. I kept my head high and ignored him, pretending his words didn’t sting. But it didn’t end there. A few aisles later, another man approached me. At first, he seemed uncertain, glancing between me and his phone.“It’s you… wow,” he said, sounding almost impressed. For a moment, I thought he might say something sensible, maybe even ki

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 13: PUBLIC EYES AND PRIVATE FEARS

EMMA'S POVThe feelings I had for Simeon were no longer something I could ignore. Every text message, every video call, only made me want more. I didn’t just want to see him through a screen or hear his voice over the phone—I wanted him here, beside me. I wanted to feel his presence. This morning, I decided to act on my desire. I sent him my aunt’s house address. For the past week, I’d convinced myself that the only reason he hadn’t come over was that he didn’t know where I lived. After the text message, I finally received reply:"I’m on my way."I couldn’t believe it. He was coming. My heart raced as I paced the living room, nervously glancing at the mirror to make sure I looked okay. When I finally heard the knock on the door, my heart nearly stopped.I opened the door and there he was, standing tall, looking effortlessly handsome. His smile was warm, and his eyes held that familiar kindness that had always drawn me to him.“Hi, Simeon,” I said, squeezing my fists behind my back to

SIMEON'S POVThree days after I bought forty percent of Pixel Forge Studios’ shares, Daniel showed up at my office. I wasn’t surprised; I knew he’d try to get them back. What did surprise me was his approach. He walked in with a confident air, as if he already knew how the conversation would end. I offered him a glass of wine, which he accepted, but his focus wasn’t on the drink.“I’ll pay you twice what you paid for the shares,” he said without hesitation.I leaned back in my chair, keeping my expression neutral. “I’m not interested in the offer,” I replied firmly. He took a sip of the wine, studying me. “What about three times the price?”“Daniel, I’m not interested in your money,” I said, trying to keep my tone civil. “Don’t you get that?”He chuckled softly, placing the glass on my desk. “Why do I have this feeling that this isn’t about business? Is this your way of retaliating for me taking Veronica from you?”The mention of her name made my chest tighten, but I refused to give h

EMMA'S POVWhen my phone rang, I was still half-asleep. My hand fumbled around on the bed until I found it. I didn’t need to check the screen to know who it was; the voice on the other end was enough.“Good morning, dear,” Simeon greeted. With my eyes barely open, I mumbled back, “Good morning.”“Are you still asleep?” he asked, and I finally opened my eyes to check the time. It was 11 a.m.“Nope, I’m awake,” I lied, sitting up and brushing my hair back.“How was your night?” I asked, trying to sound cheerful.“Bad,” he admitted, his tone heavy. “I couldn’t stop thinking about what happened yesterday. The world now thinks I’m secretly involved in drugs.”The pain in his voice hit me hard. “I’m so sorry, Simeon,” I said softly, wishing I could take his pain away. “All this will end soon.”“How? When?” he shot back, frustration lacing his words.I didn’t have a solid answer, but I couldn’t let him lose hope. “Soon,” I said firmly, even though I wasn’t sure myself. “Daniel will pay for h

DANIEL'S POVI was on my laptop, going through some emails when a notification popped up. A new mail. It had been months since I received one on this device, so my curiosity got the better of me. I clicked on it, half-expecting another spam message, but my heart stopped when I saw the content. It was a court summons. Emma was filing for a divorce.“What?” I shouted, my voice echoing through the room. The door burst open, and Veronica rushed in. “What’s up, baby?” she asked, her tone laced with concern.I was still staring at the screen, reading and rereading the message to ensure I wasn’t imagining things.“Daniel, what is going on?” Veronica pressed, moving closer.I finally turned to her, my face flushed with anger and disbelief. “Emma… she’s taking me to court. She wants a divorce!”Veronica’s eyes widened in surprise. “Oh my God,” she whispered. “So, what are you planning to do?”“I don’t know!” I snapped, pacing around the room. “This can’t happen. EMMA'S POVI couldn’t believe what I had just heard. The judge had declared, with absolute finality, that Daniel had no properties and owed me nothing. Nothing. No properties, no money—nothing to show for years of building a life together."Daniel, one of the richest men in New York City, has no properties? How is that even possible?" I whispered to myself, disbelief coursing through me as I watched him standing before the judge. My mind reeled. What about Trenton Corp? Who owns it? I needed answers, but they weren’t coming fast enough. As the proceedings wrapped up, Veronica approached me with a smug smile. "Thanks for making all of this happen," she said, her tone dripping with mock gratitude. "I will forever be grateful." And just like that, she turned and walked away, leaving me rooted to the spot, stunned. From where I stood, I caught a glimpse of Daniel. He looked… off. There was something in his expression—unhappiness, perhaps regret. It was like something was eating away at hi

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 18: VERONICA'S GIFT

SIMEON'S POVThis afternoon, I was at one of my companies in Brooklyn, reviewing some reports. It was a busy day, but the thought of Emma possibly visiting had me looking forward to a pleasant break. She mentioned she might stop by, and I couldn’t wait to see her.My secretary entered the office, saying I had a visitor. "Show her in," I said with a smile, already assuming it was Emma. But when the door opened, it wasn’t Emma. It was Veronica. The sight of her froze me in place. I hadn’t seen Veronica in years, not since she walked out of my life, leaving me to pick up the pieces. Yet, here she was, standing in my office like nothing had happened. My mind raced back to our history, the moments we shared, and the pain of her betrayal.“What are you doing here, Veronica?” I asked, my voice sharper than I intended.“Hi, Simeon,” she said casually, as if we were old friends catching up. She walked in confidently, smiling in that way she always did when she wanted something. She sat down wi

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 125: DO YOU BELIEVE IN KARMA?

HANNAH'S POVI had been planning this for weeks, carefully thinking through every little detail to make sure nothing went wrong. Now, everything was finally falling into place, just the way I had envisioned it. Jason and Emma’s wedding was only a few weeks away, and if I wanted this mission to be successful, I needed to act fast. There was no room for mistakes, no time for second thoughts. Jason was deeply in love with Emma, and I knew he wouldn’t leave her unless something drastic happened— something that would shatter his trust completely. That’s exactly what I was going to make happen.Liam was the key to everything. He was my golden ticket, the perfect tool to execute this plan. He had history with Emma, and despite everything, I knew she still had feelings for him—even if she refused to admit it out loud. It is normal for everyone. It was clear in the way she had reacted when she saw that Liam was back in town. The little hesitation in her voice, the way her eyes had flickered wi

EMMA'S POVI tried to hold back my tears as I entered the cab, my hands trembling as I shut the door behind me. My heart pounded against my chest, and my breath came out in short, uneven gasps. I told myself I wouldn’t cry. Not now. Not in front of the driver. Not when Liam was still running toward us, his voice calling my name, growing fainter with each passing second. The driver, an elderly man with tired eyes and a kind face, glanced at me through the rearview mirror. His gaze shifted between me and the figure of Liam, who had stopped in the middle of the road, watching me leave. His hands were on his knees as he tried to catch his breath."Are we waiting for him?" the driver asked, his voice gentle yet curious.I felt a lump rise in my throat. I knew that if I turned around, if I allowed myself to look at Liam for even a second longer, I would break down completely. So I clenched my fists, dug my nails into my palm, and forced myself to speak."No," I said quickly, my voice barely

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 123: I DON'T MIND NOT MAKING HEAVEN

JUDITH POVI never planned for any of this. It all started the day I slept with Matthew just to save Emma. It was supposed to be a one-time thing, a moment of desperation where I traded my body for something I thought was more important. I convinced myself that it was just a transaction, a simple deal with a clear purpose. There were no emotions attached, no lingering feelings, nothing beyond the physical act. That was what I believed. But somehow, Matthew and I fell into an arrangement— an agreement that neither of us had discussed but both of us understood. No strings attached. No commitments. Just sex.At least, that was how I saw it. And that is who I am.Matthew, on the other hand, treated me differently. He didn’t just see me as someone to sleep with. He started showering me with gifts, things I never asked for but somehow always received. Cars, money, expensive jewelry— he made sure I had more than I needed. At first, I didn’t think much of it, but over time, it became overwhel

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 122: "VILLAINS NEED VACATIONS TOO"

HANNAH'S POVI watched Liam's face closely as he spoke, a grin forming on my lips. He looked so pleased with himself, like a child who had just been praised for doing something clever. I almost laughed at how easy it was to manipulate him. He was just a pawn, a tool for me to use."She left in anger immediately after I told her everything," he said, his face lighting up with satisfaction. His chest puffed out slightly, as if he had just accomplished some grand mission.I turned my gaze to Daniel and Simeon, my trusted allies in this scheme. They were sitting on the plush leather couches, their faces showing the same satisfaction that I felt. Everything was falling into place. Everything. Just as I had planned."I think my plan is working," I said, finishing the whiskey in my glass. It burned going down, a sharp reminder that power always comes with a price. But this price, this burn, felt good. It felt like victory. And victory always tasted sweet.Daniel nodded, his expression satisf

EMMA'S POV It has been two weeks since Jason and I sorted things out between us. We agreed to hold the wedding in two months, and preparations were already in full swing. Invitations had been sent out to family members, friends, and even enemies. I didn’t care who showed up as long as the day went smoothly. The wedding was going to be grand, and I wanted everything to be perfect. The dress, the decorations, the food— I wanted it all to be just right. Jason was excited too, and we spent a lot of time talking about our future together. It felt good to plan a life with him, to imagine growing old together. It felt safe.Pixel Forge Studios was back on its feet. After the fire incident that almost brought the company down, I worked tirelessly to rebuild it. I have hired new staff, including Judith, who reclaimed her position as my secretary. She was good at her job and helped keep everything running smoothly. • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 120: THREE FOOLS AND A WEDDING

SIMEON'S POVI sat with Hannah and Daniel, watching them as we discussed Emma and Jason's upcoming wedding. I couldn’t help but feel uneasy. I had feelings for Emma, and I knew Daniel did too. It was awkward, competing with my friend who is like an enemy for the same woman, but I wasn’t about to back down. I wanted Emma, and I was ready to fight for her, even if it meant going up against Daniel."I believe you both got the wedding invitation from Emma and Jason?" I asked, trying to keep my voice casual. I didn’t want them to know how much it bothered me that Emma was marrying someone else."I did," Hannah replied with a wicked smile, her eyes sparkling as she spoke. She seemed genuinely not happy for Emma, but I could see something else in her eyes— something that didn’t quite match her smile. It made me wonder what she was really thinking apart from evil.I turned to Daniel, expecting him to say something, but he was unusually quiet. I followed his gaze and realized he was staring at

  • My Unfaithful Lover   Chapter 119: OPERATION: GET RID OF EMMA

HANNAH'S POVI always believed that Jason would somehow come back to me. And he did. But the painful part was that he came back strictly for help, nothing more. It was a few weeks ago when I heard a knock on my door. I was in my room, lost in my thoughts as usual. The days had become monotonous, each one blending into the next, as I replayed memories of us over and over in my mind. I missed him terribly, even though I pretended to be fine. His absence had left a void that nothing could fill. I told my twin sister, Rachel, to check who was at the door. After about half a minute, Rachel walked into my room with a mischievous smile on her face. She stood by the door, leaning against the frame with her arms crossed. “Guess who is at the door?” she asked, her eyes gleaming with curiosity.I looked up at her, confused. “You know I’m terrible at guessing. Just tell me, who is it?” My heart began to race, not because I was expecting anyone special but because of the way Rachel was acting. She

EMMA'S POV I stood there, my knees on the cold, hard floor, my hands wrapped around Jason's leg as I cried. My heart felt heavy, and my chest ached as each sob escaped my lips. But his eyes were distant, his face cold and unyielding. I searched his gaze for any hint of warmth, any sign that he still cared, but all I saw was detachment."I'm not angry at you, Emma," he said, his voice devoid of emotion, like he was speaking to a stranger. "I just think we are not meant to be together, and you proved it when you took off the ring tonight." His words cut deep, slicing through my heart like a knife. I felt my world crumbling, piece by piece, as the reality of his decision sank in. He shook off my grip, his movement sharp and final, and I watched helplessly as he walked away, leaving me kneeling there, broken and abandoned. The cold floor felt even colder beneath me as his footsteps grew distant. It was as if he was walking away with my heart, leaving an emptiness inside me that I feared

EMMA'S POV I sat on the couch, my mind still on Jason. He had just left, and the house felt empty without him. His presence always brought warmth and life to the space, but now it was cold and silent. I could still feel his scent lingering in the air, a reminder of the laughter and love we once shared. My heart ached, and my mind raced with thoughts of him. I wondered where he was, what he was doing, and if he was thinking about me too. I missed him already, even though he had just walked out the door.I was lost in my thoughts when I heard a loud bang on the door. It was so sudden that my heart skipped a beat. The noise echoed through the house, breaking the silence and pulling me back to reality. Before I could stand up, the noise came again, even louder this time. It was forceful, impatient, and aggressive, as if someone was trying to break the door down. I was angry. Who the hell was hitting my door so hard? Who dared to disturb my peace like this?I marched to the door, my anger
