Naomi

My heart thrashed against my ribs, a wild animal trying to break free so loud I was sure Cal could hear it too. My mind was filled with his words, replaying them over and over as I made my way to the kitchen counter, my feet moving almost of their own accord. I knew I should stop, that this was a bad idea, but I couldn’t bring myself to say no to him. The pull between us was too strong.

Yet when I turned and caught that look in his eye, something tight stirred in my chest a jolt of excitement that I couldn’t refuse him. Not that I could get the words out as he lifted up by my waist and spun me so my ass hit the countertop. He gave me one last look in the eye.
