Chapter 5 -Image

The last time we went to Azalea, Alora met one of her kidnapper's lackey. So Luke was a little more dramatic this time. One hundred men were dispatch lined up in front and inside Azalea. They made sure no one was inside except us and the staff.

"Is this really necessary? Is the president coming?" Kyle whispered. His sarcasm sometimes is really funny.

"A lot happened lately so Luke is so obsessed with everybody's safety especially Alora. It's hard to be the fiance of the most richest guy in the country." I said.

"But that's what you want right? A rich guy." He said.

I don't know if he said it to tease me or if he sounded bitter.

Alora let me chose Kyle's clothes while they go around the store. Azalea is a huge clothing store in Northbay City Mall. The store itself has 5 floors with 10 sections.

"Emily, I think 2-3 clothes are enough. I can't afford more than that." Kyle said when he saw more than 20 suits in front of him.

"You'll be working in A.E Corporation, you need a lot of clothes. Don't worry I have this." I smiled showing him the black card Luke gave me.

"Is that a black card?" His eyes widened from shocked.

I laughed. "Yes. Luke gave this to me. He did this to Jayden as well. Not just you. As long as you remain loyal as his friend, he'll take care of you."

Kyle tried all the clothes I chose. From casual clothes to business suits. He was really good looking. Everything he wears suits him. He was like a totally different person. If I didn't know him, I might thought he's a rich guy.

I didn't notice I was mesmerized by him when Peggy suddenly touched my chin.

"You're drooling." She blurted.

Nina, Sophie and Alora laughed. They sat next to me on the couch while we wait for Kyle to try on another clothes.

"He's hot." It was Alora.

We turned our gaze to her. We're surprised from her comment since she never actually compliment a guy other than Luke.

"What? He really is. He's just too old fashioned but if you look at him, he's good looking and sexy." She said.

"Luke might kill Kyle if he heard that." Sophie giggled.

"And I think he's a good guy too." Alora continued while looking at me. I know that look.

"No. I'm not. It's impossible." I insisted.

Kyle suddenly came out. He's just wearing a white shirt, a jeans and a snickers but he really can carry himself with confidence. He's too good looking and hot. I can see the female staff drooling over him.

"Wow! You look great Kyle!" Peggy exclaimed.

"Maybe this is a little too much? I can still work with my old clothes." Kyle said blushing.

I was observing him quietly. When he blushed, he's so cute. It made my heart beat fast. Am I falling for him? No! Definitely not! He's not my ideal man. He's not for me.

"Kyle you also need to take care of your image when you work with Luke. People will find you more reliable and trustworthy if you look decent. Don't get me wrong. We don't judge people by appearance but you are now part of the business world so you have to present the company with those clothes." Alora explained.

"I know someone who judge people by appearance." He smiled at me and winked.

I blushed and rolled my eyes. I know I've been rude to him the first time we met and I regret it. If only I was nicer back then and didn't tell him my ideal guy maybe he'll look at me differently.

After we shop in Azalea, Alora and the others left.

"At last, we're done with clothes. I'm so tired trying all those clothes." He said.

I giggled. "We're not done yet."

"What? Please no more clothes."

I brought Kyle to Ferrari World as Luke instructed to get him a car.

"Are you going to buy a new car?" He asked.

"No. It's for you. No buts! Luke's orders!"

His jaw almost dropped when he heard that. I walked inside and he followed. His eyes widened when he saw the luxury cars prices.

"Emily, I have a car. It's still working fine. I don't really need this." He declined.

"I know. But Luke insisted. Jayden also got a car when he started as the new CFO. Luke wanted his executives to be presentable. He's actually protecting his image not yours. It will reflect on him as the successor if he hired someone, you know what I mean right?" I can't tell him directly the word low class but that's the truth.

Luke just started to replace his father and as the successor of Wilson Empire, everyone's eyes were on him.

Kyle sighed and eventually agreed.

We purchased the 2021 Ferrari Portofino M which is around $240,000. Kyle was shocked and can't believed it.

"So on Friday, we'll be using your new car." I smiled.

"Why? You have a car, no one's riding with my ferrari." He teased.

"I'm also freeloader in Queen's so since it's a double, I'll ride with you."

"As you wish, I'll be your driver on Friday." He said.

Friday came and the date will be after school. I'm not sure why I feel anxious since this is not the first time I've been on a date.

I went to my resident to change clothes and prepare for the date. I've been looking at my closet for half an hour but I can't decide what to wear.

I have to look prettier and sexier than Kyle's date. I thought to myself. Wait! What am I thinking? I should be preparing for Xander. Not to compete with Kyle's date.

I chose a knee-length white sleeveless chiffon dress and paired with a two inch wedge sandals. I applied a light make up and just a lip gloss.

When I'm satisfied with my look, I went down to meet Kyle.

I felt excited and hoping that he will compliment me. But when I saw him, he was already with Lily, his date.
