Chapter 101

Logan's POV

My smile fell off my face as soon as I left my mother's chambers. All that Targon had said to me was still hot. They played out in my head and I just couldn't believe them.

I remembered the intercourse I had with Jennifer that resulted in pregnancy. It looked staged and all. It looked like I was under a spell or something, but I decided to let it go at that time just to avoid an embarrassing situation.

Here we are, my negligence has come to haunt me. This time, I must find this out. I must get to the bottom of this. I thought as I proceeded toward my chambers.

I intended to stop by Renae's chambers. I wanted to see her and the twins.

I was so close when I heard Targon's voice. It was laced with dread and I knew something was amiss. He fell in front of me. One of his knees on the floor with his head bowed.

I signaled to the other guards to move backward. They did and I commanded Targon, "Rise and speak, I am all ears."

Slowly, he rose to his feet but he still kept his hea
