Chapter 78: Foiled Plans

“You ready to go then?” Tyler’s voice pulled me back to the present, his smile bright under the lights in the kitchen.

I nodded, smiling in return, eager to get this date started.

It felt like we'd been waiting an eternity for this day and now that it was finally here, I didn't care where we were going or what we were doing. I just wanted to spend time with him.

We headed out into the evening as Tyler led me to his car. The air was crisp, but I was grateful that the rain had let up for the moment.
