Chapter Six

Valerie was reading her book when she heard a loud noise outside. She hops off the bed and looks out her window to see a wolf running right towards her window. She screams just before the wolf crashes through the window glass shattering everywhere. Her fight and flight were not responding quick enough. The wolf was on top of her snapping at her neck. She put her hands on the wolf's neck to keep the blonde-colored wolf from biting her neck.

“Wait is this…?” Valerie thought.

“That scent… it’s.. That’s Daisy.”

"Leam! Lucas!" She shouted as she transformed. She knew they were probably almost there. She flipped the wolf over baring her teeth at her. The blonde color wolf snarls and they begin to fight. She snapped at her aiming for her front leg and barely grazed her when the light-colored wolf went for her attack then a white wolf jumped in through the broken window joining in the fight. Suddenly a big cinnamon-colored wolf attacks the white one that just jumped in and another one attacks yet another one coming in, the one that came in after the white one was black.

Valerie jumps at the light-colored one pushing her into the floor, and snapping at her neck. All that was heard was snarling, snapping of teeth, howls, and whining. The wolf Valerie was fighting whined and jumped out the window Valerie followed onto the roof and watched the wolf run back into the woods. There was a howl and the white wolf and black wolf jumped out the window and jumped off the roof running in the same direction the light-colored wolf went. Valerie glimpsed at the other wolves and wandered over to them. She could feel her wolf bursting with joy as she went up to them. The male wolf's tails began to wag as she approached them. One of them tossed and tilted his head. Both of them gave a little bow and pounced up to her and nibbled her fur affectionally. She then realized she had never seen them in wolf form for this long. She heard Leam's voice in her head.

"Are you okay? Did she hurt you?" He demanded.

"No-" She began to say back when Lucas's voice interrupted her.

"I swear if I see them again I will tear them to shreds! Are you sure she didn't hurt you? I could chase after them. I still got their scent. We can go after them right now." Valerie was surprised because she had never heard Lucas say something like that. That's something she would think Leam would say.

"No, I am fine, just a few scrapes." She asks her wolf to transform back and her wolf whines in protest but a few seconds later immediately her bones begin to crack and move. She felt some stinging pain and she felt embarrassed standing in front of her mates naked.

"The question is are you okay?" She said as she looked away, slightly blushing. They tilted their heads and came and knocked her over, licking her face and arms. She knew they were healing her and she giggled because it tickled. She petted them when she felt something slick on her hand. She looked at her hand and it was blood. She looked at Leam and she saw the pain in his eyes.

"I'm fine." She heard his voice in her head.

"Absolutely not. Does this look fine to you!?" She said out loud to him, holding her bloody hand up to his face. "Transform! NOW!" The wolves looked at each other and their bones began to crack. She looked away for a second. She glimpsed back at them and there was a claw mark across Leam's stomach. She knew that they healed faster but she still felt the need to take care of him. She looked at Lucas and he had a few marks but nothing too bad.

"Can you get clothes on and some clothes for Leam while I wrap him up." He nods and goes into the closet. She grabs Leam's arm and leads him into the bathroom and makes him sit on the toilet. She opens the cabinet and begins to look for a first aid kit. She knows she saw one.

"I'm really fine. You know we werewolves heal faster than humans." She sighed as she spotted the first aid kit.

"I know but I’m your mate. So I have a very strong feeling about taking care of you. You should also know that!"

She goes back to him and sets the first aid kit on the counter. She first grabbed a rag from the cabinet and wet it with water to wipe away the blood. She opens the first aid kit and gets a rubbing alcohol wipe. She tears it open and turns to him. When he sees the wipe he grabs her hand.

"What are you doing!?" Valerie demanded as she struggled against his hand.

"You are not putting that shit on my wound!" Leam says.

"Why the hell not!?" She yells as she continues fighting him, getting closer to his wound.

"Because that shit stings!"

"Are you kidding me?!" She stops fighting and thinking for a second. She kissed him causing him to loosen his grip, she then took her hand out and wiped the wound. He jerks back from her and lets out a loud growl.

"You Bitch!" He yelled.

"Hey! You won't be getting any of this bitch if you keep that up!" She finishes cleaning it as Leam curses under his breath. She takes a gauze wrap and begins wrapping it around his stomach slowly. Someone clears his throat and both Valerie and Leam's head snapped to the doorway to see Lucas.

"Got the clothes for him and uh you." Lucas's face was slightly red. He hands clothes to Leam and one to Valerie.

"Thanks," Valerie says. She quickly puts her clothes on. He had chosen black leggings and a t-shirt for her. She saw the serious face on the twins and she knew they were going to have to get into a serious conversation.
