“That’s James Stone, Mr. Edward!” Bernard whispered in Edward Phillipe’s ear. They were coming into the lounge hall where there were two men seemed to have waited for them both.
Both Edward and Bernard were walking to the lounge hall of a hotel where James Stone and his marketing team were shooting for their new product launch, snacks for snacking time for the teenagers. Edward glanced at the banner that the marketing span at the corner of the hall, ‘a crunchy, healthy, fast satiating with affordable price to reduce your consumptive number of calories’ was the voice of the marketing banner they spanned along the hall. He snorted and covered his mouth with his backhand as he cleared his throat. The man with some blink-blink accessories was sitting on the couch, his fashion reminded Edward of a rapper singer with some white luxurious golden accessories, he had strawberry-coloured hair with some shaggy cut medium length for guys and the other young man with blonde coloured hair was wearing nice, neat outfits with soft colour and he had slender outlook. He had a single white golden earring on his left ear. They looked quite similar to their facial features. Both of them had a straight nose, strong jaws, pale tone skin, nearly similar facial features, nearly the same height and beautiful jade-coloured eyes. From the distance, they looked like twins with two different sides of a coin in their fashion style. Edward glanced at Bernard and squinted his eyes a bit. “That man who appears blink-blink or the other one who looks much funky? They look much similar to each other.” Edward gritted his teeth to make his voice lower. Bernard smirked. “The blink-blink man is James Stones.” He murmured and then shaped a big smile on his lips. “The more flamboyant man is his secretary, Duncan Gordo.” Bernard continued to explain and lower his voice. He pushed himself to smile and fixed his upper fits. “James, it’s nice to see you…” Edward tapped James’ backhand as he approached James and saw James put one of his arms out to offer Edward a warm handshake. His lips shaped a wide smile. “Edward Phillipe, how’re you, man?” James grinned and shook Edward’s hand. “This is Duncan Gordo, my man.” He signed his hand to the blonde-haired man with his earring. “Good morning, Mr. Edward.” Duncan Gordo shook Edward’s hand firmly and Edward smirked. “This is Bernard Austin, the best man that I have, James and Duncan!” Edward tapped the shoulder of Bernard, a man with a robust posture, dark brown wavy hair, and a shaped jaw and he was 6’5” in his height. “Mr. James, Mr. Duncan…” Bernard shook each hand in a shift. “Edward, I know that you have a big interest in taking care of your health…” James tapped Edward’s shoulder as they walked along the room to the open-air space. “We’re having a shot for our new product. A very healthy pack of snacks, Edward.” James strode his steps and he stopped as he clapped his hands. “Clara, would you come here!” He shouted to a girl with gingered hair who just finished doing a shot for the product launch. The girl was wearing a black tight leathered mini skirt and she had a body shape that every man would stare at her for a while. That morning, her lower cleavage in a tight vivid red T-shirt crafted a passionate morning to every pair of man’s eyes. Edward smirked as he caught accidentally those sneaky bumped tilts and he cleared his throat. “Is it about spicy products, James?” He looked at James and his question made James laugh. “You have a good sense of humour, Edward.” James tapped Edward’s shoulder. “It’s nice to see you, Miss Clara.” Edward took the girl’s backhand and landed his kiss from his moist lip on her hand. He did it with his two eyes staring at the girl. “Mr. Edward Phillipe!” The girl swayed her hip a bit. She tried to give an impressive naughty but also graceful gesture as Edward liberated his gentle hold on her hand. The girl appeared to hit her mid-twenties with some energetic vibes of the cheerleader girl. She dressed up in an animated costume play. Edward grinned at her in an enigmatic stare and he saw James was smirking. “What should we discuss about your products?” James put one of his hands into his trousers’ pocket. “She is one of our ambassador products.” He signed his chin to the girl who was walking next to Edward and was followed by Bernard. “You could discuss our products at dinner time with Clara, she’s good at explaining that. But the best deal that we will find more interesting is talking about your buying passions in our company, Edward.” Edward smirked. “It seems like you jump to boogie about it.” He inhaled deeply. “Anyway, let’s bumpy jumping about it.” Edward giggled and took a glimpse of Bernard. Edward was staring at the coffee cup that he held and took a sip of it. “Bernard, I need you to give this sample to Ruth.” He handed it to Bernard after they finished having some explorative, investigative conversations with James Stones’ marketing team and Duncan Gordo, his secretary. He and Bernard were inside the car driving them back to the farming factory that Edward managed and he should visit his grandfather, Louis Phillipe who was living near the farming area. “I will, Mr. Edward.” Bernard took the full coffee cup. He observed the cup from its outward look and began to be suspicious as his finger touched the package and sniffed the aroma. “They add some additional flavour in the coffee, it could be hazardous if the substance piles up in our body.” He looked at Edward. Edward inhaled and wiped his nose. “I sense the same thing. Let Ruth and her team make an essential analysis about it.” He threw his sight out of the car’s window. “Tell me what you think about it, Bernard.” Edward glanced at Bernard after there was a haze of pause in the air. “About our last conversation with the marketing team?” Bernard inhaled. “Personally, I agree with your steps, Mr. Edward. For the moment, we should explore some options that they offered to us before deciding to buy or just making an insignificant partnership.” “The products have some spots on the teenagers though.” Edward unwrapped a bag of snacks, one of James’ company’s products. He tasted it and squinted his eyes. “Let your tongue become your guidance. What do you say about it?” He handed the snack to Bernard. “I think it doesn’t fit the calorie campaign they spread. They should be wise in talking about calories, they’re just teenagers.” Edward rubbed his temple and exhaled harshly. “The taste is too salty, it’s a combination of salt and cheese improperly. Is it the favourite flavour for teenagers?” Bernard squinted his eyes. He turned his head to Lorraine and offered her the snacks. “What do you think about it? My bad, it’s not my kind one.” Lorraine took a piece of the snack and she chewed it. She squinted her eyes. “Spicy and salty. It’s not savoury, it’s salty.” Lorraine shrugged. “It’s not my kind too. I prefer savoury but not too much salty.” Edward smirked. “All the samples that we’ve got, please give it to Ruth for researching.” Bernard nodded his head. “And one thing, you should represent me for their dinner invitation with Clara. I have something else to do.” Edward showed his stern gesture. “Dig up more information from her. I think she’s not only quite spicy but she also has a good brain too.” He stared at Bernard. “You know what you should do to get important information from her. I sense that she’s not only an ambassador of the products.” Edward sniffed and smirked. “She will do anything to make us agree to sign a contract with the amount of three million dollars investment to James’ company.” He whispered in Bernard’s ear. “I will, Mr. Edward,” Bernard smirked and looked at Edward in his amazing stare. They arrived at the farming factory nearly lunchtime, one of the giant enterprises that Edward Phillipe managed. Edward came out from the car and he continued his steps to the factory’s canteen. “Lorraine and Hudson, it’s nearly lunchtime. You can back to the office, I and Bernard will stay overnight at this place. But before you leave, you can enjoy lunchtime and have a good meal in the factory’s canteen. Will you?” Edward stopped his steps and turned his back around to Lorraine, a woman who always accommodated his personal needs in daily activities as the owner of two giant businesses. The mid-forties in age woman had been working for Edward since he started his enterprise from zero, fifteen years before he got his grandparent’s inheritance of giant enterprises. Meanwhile, Hudson had worked for him as a personal driver for almost ten years. “How about tonight, Mr. Edward?” Lorraine looked at Edward. “I’m free tonight. I don’t have to come to any ceremonies or dinner invitations
"Tell me, how long have you been working for the Healthies90?" Bernard beamed at Clara after pouring the second glass of wine for the young woman. Clara bit her lower lip and peeked at Bernard. Bernard inhaled and sipped his wine as he ran his thought. 'Mr. Edward was right that this girl has thoughtful mind. I could see from her stare. I must anticipate her tricky minds with combination of her attractive attitudes.' "Five years." Clara sipped her wine. Her red lipstick remained on the tip of the glass as she silently rubbed it off with her thumb. The way she licked the remains of the wine on her lips looked so elegant but at the same point, what she did could emanate his imagination how naughty and wild she would be. Bernard rested his chin on his clenching fist and beamed at her. "Not surprisingly as I could figure out from your sparkling eyes talk anything about you..." He shook the glass in his hand and stirred the wine slowly. "James certainly figure out how potential you are
"Are you with her right now?" Edward Phillipe rose from his seat and walked to the porch. He glanced at his grandpa, Louis Phillipe who was on the wheelchair and accompanied by a personal nurse that Edward hired to take care his grandpa 24/7 while he was busy to manage his business. He kept his space in a few edges from them while he was on phone with Bernard. "Yes, Mr. Edward. I drove her to stay in the motel. She fell asleep before telling me where she's living." Edward bit his lips. "You sprayed her with the magic liquid that Ruth invented?" He dilated his pupils as he felt surprised and curious at the same time. He giggled as he covered his mouth with a hand. "My Gosh, make sure whether she fainted because of its smell or fell asleep, Bernard!" "I will, Mr. Edward. It seems that she fainted..." Bernard inhaled. He rested the face of Clara to the other side. He leaned her head on the opposite side from his driving position carefully as he intended not to awake her unintentional
"May I know the reason behind your decision to sell your car?" Johny looked at Elena with his eyes full of concern. Elena stopped munching her dinner meal and sipped her chocolate shake to clear her throat. "I need to pay for my tuition fees and my mom's expenses, Boss!" Johny inhaled. "Just call me by my name." He stirred his cappuccino and the way he moved the spoon, Elena knew that man was thinking."When will you start doing the assignment so?" Elena gulped. "As soon as I finish gathering any information about Fred Tiger." She wiped her lips with a serviette. "He seems enjoying some outdoor activities like rowing, rock climbing and hiking. I consider to choose that way as approach methods to him." Johny sighed and sipped his coffee. "I'll send you Angelo to join with you." Elena stared at him while she munched her last bite of a beef burger. "I'll send you sixty percent of your salary for this assignment. I hope you can find another car to make your day easier. Angelo will t
"I can't swim..." Elena confessed and turned down her eyes to her lap. She bit her lower lip. Angelo squeezed his eyes. He seemed not believe his ears with what the girl just said. 'She looks tough but can't swim?' Angelo was laughing inside as he skimmed of her for a moment. "Okay." He beamed after clearing his throat. There was a shadow of pause in a short moment. "I heard this guy loves to do some outdoor activities. So, are you going to follow one of his outdoor activities?" Elena sighed. "He's going to go rowing this weekend." Angelo jiggled his head. "Tell me what you have learned about this guy, Fred Tiger--" He took a short look at Elena who seemed to be uneasy. "Hey, relax. We are going to be a team. We should support each other." Angelo tapped his fingers on the steer, his other hand reached for the car audio and he switched the music into some blues as Elena assumed. "You like it?" Elena shrugged. "I am not into music so much, but some jazz I probably listen before
“Elena kept moving. Don’t get panicked and grab something. Pull over, Elena!” She heard Angelo’s voice to give some directions. The life jacket she wearing made her floating her up from the current. Elena found her sight getting distorted. The water streams hit her face hard as she tried to emerge her head up on the surface. “There’s something entangled my left ankle!” She turned her head to Angelo and kept trying to pull her head up from the surface to get oxygen. She began blurping. Suddenly, Elena felt something was bumping her head. Hitting her hard although a helmet protected her, that bump dragged her within the water streams. She saw a big trunk passing her and she tried to grab it. The water streamed harder, bent over between the rocky river and the streams drifted her within. Elena was pushed into currents and dragged her to hit a boulder. Leaving everything looked black in her vision and she felt numb as she fainted. Angelo dived into the water and approached
Elena followed the direction that Angelo told her. It was nine o’ clock compass direction and it pointed at another young woman. “Who’s she?” Elena pulled the bridge of her glasses down from her nose. Angelo sighed. “Iréne’s right hand!” Elena bowed her eyebrows. “What’s she doing?” She hissed at Angelo. Angelo bit his finger to cover his mouth while he was speaking. “To arrange the meetings between Iréne Belle and Fred Tiger. They should avoid public’s attention on their…you know!” He sniffed. “I smell another agenda!” He obscurely looked at the blonde girl passing them with the man from the café through his side eye. Angelo asked for the waitress their bills and gave a normal amount for tips. “What’re we doing next?” Elena almost wiped off her artificial moustache but Angelo asked her not to do it. She shrugged and looked at Angelo who keeping an eye on the street. “Waiting. I want to know what’s business they are dealing with that blonde chic. You know her, don’t y
Elena sighed but her ears could catch a gasp coming out from Angelo’s lips as he pressed the button to open the door of his red sport car for her. He took a glimpse of her who checking her long white earrings where she inserted the tiny speakers into. “Selena…” he paused and called Elena with her operation name. “I’ll be around you but promise you, you won’t notice me…it’ll be easier for you to work!” He wiped his nose while his other hand was still on the steer. Elena gave him a quick nod and grabbed a silver colored leathered with some metal ornamented purse. “If everything bad happens... everything… just bump your chest area three times where Val attached the mics…” Angelo added his final instruction as Elena was ready to get off from the car. “Good luck…” he put two fingers on his forehead and swayed it as a sign of readiness for working. Elena drew a long inhale and walked into the room where the music from DJ had welcomed her. She tried to walk with a natural swaying an
