“You should leave too.”

Greg was finally here at Ophelia’s place, so he was reluctant to leave so soon. He clutched his chest and sat down on Ophelia’s couch while saying, “I feel some tightness in my chest because I’m so mad at Nora. I’ll just sit down for a while to calm down.”

He had just been discharged from the hospital with a heart condition, so this was a reasonable excuse. He smiled at Ophelia and said, “You don’t have to worry about me. You can get busy with your own things.”

Although he was saying this, his eyes revealed his longing for Ophelia.

Ophelia glanced at him and said calmly, “I’m going to take my afternoon nap. Make yourself at home.”

She left after saying that, but she eventually poured a glass of water and placed it in front of Greg without looking back before she returned to her room, leaving Greg all alone.

Greg was already content to receive such treatment. After Ophelia had left, he drank the glass of water that seemed to taste even sweeter than honey.
