Ana's pov:
The walk to the market took longer than I expected because I caught myself occasionally thinking about the man I had slept with.
The memory became more of a blur with each passing day. All my efforts to track him had proved futile. He obviously didn't want to be found.
I wondered if he knew that I was pregnant... If he even cared.
"I'd like this one, please," I told the man, pointing at the large cheddar cheese on display.
He nodded and took the cheese out of the display box, turning around to wrap it up.
I looked down, digging into my purse to pay for my purchase when it happened.
It only took a split second.
A handkerchief came over my lungs and mouth and pressed into my face.
I tried to scream as I was immediately carried away by strong arms. Panicking, I clawed at every inch of skin I could find until I felt my lungs giving out with repressed screams. At the same time I tried to protect my stomach from what may try to harm my child.
My abductor dragged me away and the next thing I knew, I was lifted up and into a van with very dark interior.
There must have been something in that handkerchief because I felt my strength fading away as I started to lose consciousness while the van sped along to an unknown destination.
Moments later, I realized that they were taking me into a hospital, lifting me unto a stretcher as I tried to blink the unconsciousness away.
I inhaled a large breath, covered my belly and started to scream with all my might even as I was pushed into what looked like a surgical room.
A man with greying beard, a stethoscope around his neck and snow white lab coat suddenly appeared in my line of vision.
"Please," I begged him, shaking my head with tears in my eyes, "please don't hurt me. I haven't done anything."
"This will only take a few hours," he murmured gruffly, taking an injector and sticking it into my arm.
My eyes started to close, I became groggy, began to lose what fight I had in me and the last thing I heard before I drifted into unconsciousness was someone shouting, "prepare for surgery!"
Mysterious Man’s POV:
If Mr Williams hadn't paid me more than half of what I've ever earned since I started practicing Medicine, I would have never agreed to this procedure.
Even now, my heart still tugged the wrong way at what I was doing to this woman.
I shrugged the feeling off and tried to steady my hand as I made an incision across her abdomen to make a C-section delivery.
She wasn't some poor, innocent woman. She had known what she was doing, deliberately getting herself pregnant to milk my employer of all his money.
It wasn't a secret that Mr Greyson Williams was one of the richest men on the planet. The richest in the entire country. Everyone knew about him. She had definitely known what she was doing when she slept with him.
"You good, doc?" My nurse of nine years asked, holding out a tray for me to drop the bloodied scalpel in.
"Yes. Thank you, Becky."
"How did Mr Williams drop his guard to get her pregnant?"
I shrugged. "Who knows? A pierced condom. Maybe she drugged him. I have worked for Mr Williams for years. He's always very cautious. This is an anomaly. Thank god he discovered her soon enough. This woman must have slept with him with the intention to get pregnant. She even came this far abroad just to give birth to his child. But Mr. Williams won’t give her the chance to threaten him with his child in the future.”
Becky whispered back venomously, “This lucky little bitch," she hissed. "If it wasn’t for Mr. Williams, she doesn’t deserve to have you delivering her child. You're the most renowned doctor there is.”
I grinned, taking pride in that.
It was a quick surgery that quickly went wrong after I pulled out the first kid. A boy.
I handed the red, squalling boy to Becky who immediately wrapped him up to be transported back to Mr Williams.
"Good. Let's get the heck out of here."
"We can't."
"Why not?" She demanded.
"They're two." I murmured.
"What?!" Becky hissed.
I had taken out the first kid, a son. But Ana’s belly was still big. I frowned, confusion clouding my head.
Mr Williams had given me express instructions; "Deliver the child. If it's a boy, bring him back to me. If it's a girl, she stays with her mother. I have no use for her."
I wiped my sweating brow with the sleeve of my lab coat. “Mr. Williams didn’t tell us it’s a twin.”
Becky said, "but he only asked us to bring back the son. It's the boy he wants."
I sighed, “Well then…” delivering the baby girl too and placing her in a spare incubator.
I stitched the woman back up and checked on her dose of anesthesia.
She was going to be knocked out for a few more hours. Enough time for us to cover our tracks and get out of her.
Mr Williams had already paid the heads of the hospital handsomely to turn a blind eye to the illegal surgical procedure we were doing.
They had all signed a non disclosure agreement to make sure that nobody goes blabbing to the press and it was in the agreement that they'd look after the woman after we left.
That was more mercy than she deserved, in my opinion.
By the time she wakes up, if she even has any memory of it, we'll be long gone.

FIVE YEARS LATER
Ana's pov:
The moment I stepped out of the plane after my long twelve hours flight, I swallowed a breath of fresh air.
America smelled like freedom. Like home. And I was finally back after over five long years.
"I'm so sleepy, mummy," Sophia, my five year old daughter whined, tugging at the hem of my dress.
I laughed and squeezed her tiny little palm and walked down the stairs with her. "It's alright. When we get home, you can have all the rest you need."
"Yay!" She squealed.
I walked out of the airport with my little daughter and grinned widely when I saw Tylor beside a dark blue Audi, grinning back at us.
There was an attractive red haired woman beside him trying to get his attention.
"Daddy!" Sophia suddenly squealed, leaving my side and running towards Tylor who met her halfway, picked her up, threw her in the air and caught her in his arms again and again until she was a red, laughing, squealing mass of limbs and hair.
I smiled at the interaction. Sophia had made it clear that she considered Tylor her daddy because all her friends had dads, and if Tylor, who lived with us and took care of us, wasn't her daddy, then who was?
"Who's my daddy, mummy?" She had asked with those sweet, innocent large green eyes, tears rimming the edges. "Why don't I have one? All my friends do!"
"You do, sweetheart."
"Then where is he? Why isn't he here?"
"Honey, listen–"
"He doesn't like me. He doesn't want us, does he, mummy?"
I swallowed hard as she started crying. "Can Tylor be my daddy? Pretty pretty please?"
I had looked at her with so much pain in my heart and agreed to her wishes.
The woman that had been trying to get Tylor's attention scoffed and left after Tylor's interaction with Sophia.
He walked over to me, Sophia resting against his hips and took my luggage from me, squeezing me into a warm hug.
"Welcome home, Ana."
I smiled. "It's good to be back after so many years."
Ana's pov:"Shotgun!" Sophia screamed, running to the passenger side and slipping into the car.Tylor laughed and stared at her fondly before he turned to look at me."My father will be having a field day now that you're back." Tylor complained. My eyebrows creased. "What?" He shrugged with his hands shoved in his pockets. "He has always been on my neck concerning coming back home to take over the business, you know? I held out because I wanted to wait for you to finish your education first. Now that you're back, I'm not going to hear the end of it."I hesitated.I never even knew or considered that his entire life had been on hold for me.Tylor had done so much for me, for very little in return. I could never repay him for how kind he has been to Liam, Sophia and I."No way!" A voice suddenly screamed in excitement, cutting off our conversation.I whirled around to see a very attractive young woman grinning widely at Tylor. "It can't be– Tylor? Tylor Smith?
