Chapter 6

Riya's POV

The first thing I did when I had brought everything, upstairs to my new home, was to go to my bedroom window and open it and fling it wide. A sigh of pure happiness left me. It was a beautiful day.

I ignore the fact that every wall in my new home was going to have to be decorated before it would be truly livable, I stared outside at my view. 

Wow!! Terrace garden!! I didn't expect it. Though the plants looked wilder. I loved gardening but it had l to wait. My priority was to settle in the home and hospital. 

So I took a quick shower and reached the hospital and looked for my friend. She was waiting for me in the parking lot.

We went upstairs and reported on duty. We were asked to go to a lecture theatre and wait. 

My friend and I were going there when I saw my new irritating neighbour. 

What was he doing here?? 

Must have come for the mental check-up?? I chuckled. 

I saw some man hugging him and saying that he loved him. They both were smiling and my neighbour said that he knows it well. 

What was that?? 

I felt that I had seen them earlier as well. But where had I seen them? 

 When I saw my neighbour for the first time, I felt that I had seen him somewhere. Today I felt that I had seen both him and his friend. 

But where?? 

Oh!! Yes! Now I remembered, I saw them on the Rajasthan tour. I had come to Chandigarh one month in advance so went on the trip with Tanvi. She had insisted, I come. 

Oh yes, they were there. 

Was he a doctor here?? 

Well, if he was on that trip, it means, he was... God, save his patients. 

Flashback

I remember very clearly now..... We all boarded our Volvo bus after breakfast and when we reached Hawa Mahal in Jaipur, we all got off the bus. 

My friend and I were going towards the Hawamahal when one of the doctors got annoyed and shouted.  

" You are spoiling my trip too. Be normal or I will go and say something to her. I swear you would not like it. " Dr irritating shouted and threatened his friend. 

" No!! You will not " his friend said immediately. 

" Try me... Now enjoy with us or... As it is, she is enjoying it. Why does it matter to you so much, if she is so cool about it? It doesn't matter to her that you are suffering, but it does to me. I love you." He said and looked very angry. 

" What ?? Do you love me ?? Oh, god !!! I was dying to hear it, Parth... I love you too. Let's tell everyone that we are in love and start our life together." His friend said and my neighbour's eyes literally came out. 

Even I was shocked at what I heard. Did that mean that they... Were in love?? 

Really?? 

I was shocked, though I had heard about that kind of relationship, I had never seen anyone accepting so openly.  

In fact, I liked the fact that they could accept it so openly. They must have been really in love with each other to accept it so boldly. 

I had no problem with that but it was weird for me as I came from a small town. 

" What ?? Oh No !!! Spare me... " My neighbour had said. 

" How can I leave you now??? I love you and you just said that you love me too. " His friend said and hugged him. 

" Ewww leave me... What happened to you all of a sudden?? " My neighbour asked his friend. 

" I just realised that you are the love of my life. " He said and the irritating doctor pushed him and started running, but they both looked so happy. 

Present time

Well, I was happy for them as well. But one thing was for sure, he was weird and I didn't have time to think about that weirdo. So we went to the lecture theatre. 

There were many interns there, waiting to be assigned their duty in various departments. 

After about 10 minutes, the senior doctors started coming into the lecture theatre. 

I was very excited about my internship and just then, I saw him entering the lecture theatre. 

Oh my God!!! He was a senior doctor here?? 

God!! Please don't let him see me. I don't want to work under him. 

Just then his name was announced and he waved. To my dismay, my name was announced right after that with two other names we were to assist him for a few months till our duty changed. 

How can you do that to me, God? 

After the names were announced, we all were supposed to go to our respective departments. 

Oh, God!! How was he going to react?? 

I went to the Pathology department and met two other doctors, Dr Disha and Dr Kunal. 

After about 5 minutes, we knocked on the door of the senior doctor's cabin.

" Come in !! " He said in a deep hoarse voice. 

God, please help me!! I wish... Oh, God! I don't know what I wish. Just don't make him angry with me. 

We entered the room. I was walking behind the male intern doctor, Dr Kunal. 

After they made their introduction, the senior doctor told me to introduce myself. I took a reluctant step ahead but my foot got entangled with my dupatta ( stole, chunni) and I fell forward... 

... On him. 

" Oh, shit!!! What's wrong with you??" 

Parth's POV

I ordered 4 coffees to welcome all of them. I wanted the girls to feel comfortable around me and even Kunal deserved at least one friendly coffee before he realised what had hit him. 

I grinned like a devil. 

After about 5 minutes, three people entered the room. I looked at them. There were two female doctors and Kunal. 

" Good morning, sir !! We are here to assist you, till further notice. " One of the female doctors said. 

" Very good morning, Please, introduce yourselves. " I said. 

" Sir, I am Disha Goyal. " The girl said with a sweet smile. I smiled and nodded. 

" I am Dr Kunal Sinha," That cheap man said making a weird tense face and I nodded. 

Good, I liked the tension on his face. 

 I looked at the third one, She was hiding behind Kunal. 

" Yes?? Will you please introduce yourself? " I bent to my left side to see the third one. 

Just then the man from the cafeteria came in with coffee. Perfect timing! 

I told him to give coffee to everyone. He nodded and started coming to me first with the piping hot coffee. 

I looked at the third girl as she was taking too much time. She

took a reluctant step towards me, stumbled upon something and fell on me. 

All the four cups of steaming hot coffee that the boy was holding got splashed over me and she fell over me. 

" Oh, shit!!! What's wrong with you??" I shouted and she shrieked immediately. 

" I am s..sorry, s..sir!! R.really sorry. " the girl said in a very meek and scared voice. 

I looked at her and was shocked. It was the girl who attacked me and my vehicles. 

Was I having that bad dream again??

May be !! I must wash my eyes maybe I hallucinating because of the lack of sleep. 

I went to the washroom in my cabin and cleaned myself. My skin had become red. So I applied the ice to it. Wore another shirt, from my locker in my cabin. 

I even washed my face in case, I was having a bad dream. 

I came back and saw the girl with her head bent. 

It was the same girl... 

She was a Doctor?? God help all the patients and most of all me.

God!! How could you do that to me?? She hurts me whenever we meet. 

But it is ok... At least now I can keep her in check. She is my junior, I will control her. I smiled devilishly.
