Chapter 77

I walked out of the house, feeling like I was leaving a part of myself behind. The tears I had held back in front of Chase now streamed down my face as I made my way to the bus stop. I couldn't believe I had been so blind, so trusting. The man I thought I knew was a stranger, a liar.

As I waited for the bus, I couldn't shake off the feeling of betrayal. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of uncertainty, unsure of what was real and what was a lie. I thought about all the moments we had shared, all the laughter, all the whispers of sweet nothings in the dead of night. Was it all a lie?

The bus arrived, and I got on, finding a seat at the back. I stared out the window, watching the world go by in a blur. My mind was a jumble of emotions, anger, sadness, and confusion. How could he do this to me? How could he lie to me like that?
