Chapter 69

SKY POV

I didn’t wait until I was fully awake before I jumped out of the bed and started panicking. My eyes were still blurry, my head weighing like a fuckin’ mountain on my shoulders with my ears ringing with different church bells that were tolling over and over again, but all I could think was one thing only.

“Hey, hey. Calm down, baby.”

“My baby. What happened to her? I was sitting down and fainted and, and, and…” my mind couldn’t even make out a single word I was saying, but with the little functioning part of my brain, I was gratified for having let out a few words that were rather coherent.

“Hey. Come here.” THAT voice once again called out before a strong pair of arms circled around me. I was engulfed by an intoxicating scent of sandalwood and rainforest, and just like that, my mind clicked into place. I was with Kayden.

“Kayden where is my baby…” a sob wrenched itself out of me, and he quickly kissed the top of my head before shushing me down.

“She is fine baby, she is okay.
