SKY POV

As promised, Ken did take Kim offshore in the middle of the night and returned all by himself. We didn’t get to witness the grand exit of queen bitch herself because we had long retrieved into our bedrooms. As much as we all wanted to see it happen, Kennedy wished that they left silently without much of an audience. He has suffered so much so that was the least we could do for him.

So while everyone was busy going down with their business in the safety of their bedrooms, probably around the 17th orgasm, I was busy overthinking my life and the choices I have made that led to this very moment of being locked in one bedroom with none but Kayden. I swear if this was some drama on tv, some melancholy soundtrack would be playing right at this part depressing the viewers and shit. But sadly, it wasn’t… This was real life and I was the one stuck in this dilemma with no stuntman or woman, and sooner or later I was going to have to deal with him and whatever that happened.

WOLF POVThe morning eventually came, and I had to get up. I was still in search of words to describe the feeling of getting up in the morning, and finding Skylar nuzzled in my hold while in deep slumber. One thing for sure is that I had a dreamless night, so relaxing and free of troubles. And when I peeled my eyes open, I saw her face first. Even before my mind could register anything else around me. I saw her. She looked so beautiful, very free of all the troubles and just simply happy. I wanted to know what she was dreaming about. I said I was going to make this week one to remember. We may not be the normal couple and we may not reside within the realms of normalcy, but this time, by nook or crook, I was going to show her something she has never seen. It was a promise I was going to fulfill, or at least die trying.Minutes ticked by with me just watching her take steady breaths, her lips slightly parted. I felt like a stalker by just watching her sleep, so I decided to do somethin

KEN POVHe was happy! As much as he was in this retraction phase where he refused to admit something right in front of his eyes, he was happy. And everyone around could see it too. I have known Kayden for a very long time to read him like the back of my hand. I even know the number of times he drinks his coffee in a day or the number of a gulp of water he drank because he was that straightforward and very detailed. The Kayden I knew would have laughed at the idea of showing up in jeans and sneakers, even to his friends. He was the suit and tie guy, and he changed them like he changed his socks. But the moment he stepped onto the yacht in blue jeans, I knew something had changed in him.Although he was adamant about keeping Skylar at arm’s length, he couldn’t help himself but get drawn to her. He would be an alien or a fully fledged idiot to be immune to those charms. The first I met her as his wife, back at the party, I knew things were in for a change, but I never knew that it would

WOLF POVFUCK! FUCK! FUCK!The night crept away creating a way to morning light, and I laid back in bed the whole time cussing life out of myself for what had happened. I had it, from the beginning of this trip, I had control over everything and was doing all in my power not to fuck this up. It was all going well, too well that I actually believed for one second, that we could live off well and even go back home to try it. I even had my phone off to avoid any kind of distruction that would have her hating me or thinking that I wasn't fully in this, Because I was, with every fiber of my being, I wanted to just be a man cherishing a woman with no ghosts of the past haunting me.And then I had to fuck it up right when at that time. Didn’t it wait till later maybe? No matter what I said or did, all I saw was her pained look as she slowly got off from under me, pulling away from me. That's one sole reason why I couldn't sleep a wink even after she had left. When I closed my eyes, I saw i

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 33

SKY POVThe ride to my penthouse from the airport passed in a big hazy blur. I would be lying if I said I remembered any events that occurred from when I left the yacht in the middle of the night and boarded the last-minute flight back home. But one thing for sure is I had the energy to send Diego a quick text and he promised I would find him at my house by the time I landed, and for that, I couldn't be more happier.Walking into the apartment building, I felt drained. In all my life, I have never been this exhausted. I barely greeted the guards before stepping into the elevator that took me to the 18th floor on and then walking down the long corridor which seemed to be stretching on and on and on until I arrived in front of my door. My keys were back at the manor, so I couldn’t open them for myself. With a tired and beaten-up body, I lifted my hand and sounded the alarm, then counted a few heartbeats before the door was whisked open.“I had Jack stock up our fridge with 20 tubs of cho

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 34

SKY POVThe day went by, and my tears eventually dried off from my face. Unlike the manor, my penthouse which was not only my safe fortress, it also was equipped with everything that suits my taste. There’s a room that I transformed into a giant studio where I worked and unwinded. So instead of lying in bed and licking my wounds the whole day, I decided to get some work done while Diego did his ‘DIEGO THINGS’ around the house. Before I knew it, the sun had long set and when I looked around me, I had designed a dress, worked on it, and finished it. The only thing left was to attach the buttons and it would be ready to sit on the mannequin by tomorrow. I left my study to give my body a little stretch around the house. Stepping into the living room, I spotted a giant box of pizza on the floor by the couch, and I couldn’t help but scream with joy. This man knew me and everything that made my world spin.“I could fuckin’ kiss you right now,” I yelled already heading for the lounge area wh

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 35

WOLF POVTime blurred by so fast and before we all knew it, a week had gone by. Sky and I didn’t talk much, except for the awfully formal calls where I called to check up on her and her responses were so robotic and out of it. I get it; she was still readying herself for the long talk we were supposed to have. And if I were, to be honest, I was nervous as hell! The night I left her penthouse, I drove straight to the big manor. I figured I needed some man-to-man moments with the old man so that he could tell me everything I needed to know about marriage and such. I could have asked Dwight, other married friends of mine, but Nah! Those twats never believed a thing I said, especially when it came to the serious me! So Arthur was the only one to help me with this. And he did. We sat down in his dimly lit office and talked. We talked until my saliva ran dry and when we were done, I felt like I could overcome whatever that came my way. We may not have the best father-son relationship in th

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 36

SKY POVWe left shortly after my little breakdown and drove straight back home.I don’t know what it was about Samantha’s grave that always had me sobbing like a mess, but every time I went there, I came back looking like a train wreck. Although I had been the one who insisted on coming here, I was so beaten up I couldn’t drive, so Kayden had to do the honors and drive us back.Besides, he looked nice behind that wheel, maybe more nice than I could ever be in my own car. I was damn jealous.Back at the grave, he didn’t talk much, he listened to my ranting and absorbed all I had to say, then proceeded to hold me tight in his arms when I broke down into million pieces. He didn’t have to say it out loud, but he accepted everything I had to say. Yes, things became a little too emotional for me, but that's what it has always been like. so I just settled in my seat and continued sobbing lightly while he maneuvered his way back home.We arrived right when the clock hit 11, and he packed in t

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 37

SKY POVThe little pep talk we had did really change things like we had all hoped. Not only did Kayden and I grow closer and closer, it felt like this heavy weight has been lifted off us and the air was all so fresh to breathe. It was genuinely so fun to be around him and everybody else, and true to his words, he was really trying with everything inside of him to make my life less miserable. I was enjoying every minute of it because for the very first time in my life, I had someone to return home to after a long day at work. I had someone I could sit in the living room with and chill, just watch television and get all silly. Sometimes we would cuddle out on the balcony on rainy days; that was him, insisting that I face my fears.Of course, it was almost impossible, but the way he would hold me to him and kiss me softly here and there made it all worth it. I mean I didn’t even know that Kayden was a softie because he sure was with me. he was patient, painfully so, he never did anything

EPILOGUE ~A YEAR LATER~SKY POV“Are you ready?” Arthur’s rough gravel voice called out from behind me causing my eyes to move from my reflection and land on his in the mirror. Dressed in an emerald green suit, he looked like a model who jumped straight off the photo shoot booth and came here to bless my day. Even though he had faint gray hairs in his thick mane, he looked his part and he knew how to pull one just the right way. I smiled heartily and stepped out of my seat, then walked to him and gave him a big hug.“You look amazing.” He said before accepting my hug, then rocked me side to side for a good minute and pushed back,“Kayden is going to lose it.” He said causing me to chuckle. “Now you're only exaggerating.” “He is not.” Samantha stepped from behind Arthur, dressed in an olive green gown that hugged her body well, only to split in half when it reached her thigh and pooled around her legs. To say she was beautiful would be an understatement.“Everyone is beginning to th

SKY POV~TWO MONTHS LATER~“One more surprise, Kayden, I swear you will marry yourself.”I huffed trying to push my big tummy forward and cradled my waist with my hands from my behind, then annoyingly stared at my husband-slash-fiancée who came out of the living room trying to hide his laughter, but only to fail miserably upon my clearly unfazed expression. He walked into the lobby to find me waiting for him, glaring at him and wanting nothing but to hurt his pretty face.“And I promise, this is the last time.” He tried to smooth as he walked passed me and placed himself right at my behind, with his front pressed against my back. I fought the urge to lean back into his hold and decided to stand my ground. I wasn't going to allow myself to be swayed.“Come here.” He didn’t wait for me to refute, no. Instead, he rounded his arms around me and supported my tummy from beneath, then gently lifted the bulging weight that was seriously going to kill me one of these days. I was well at the 39

KAYDEN POV“SURPRIIIIIIIIIIIISE.”The rest of the squad cheered as soon as I yanked off the blindfold from her face. She remained stoic for a few heartbeats before her mind slit back to the present, then started laughing and crying at the same time as she received hugs from the girls. The boys knew that stepping close to my woman was a big no-no, and that my pregnant woman was as unreachable as the stars. So they did all they could and stole kisses on her cheeks, which was still unacceptable, but then again, I decided to let them have their moment since they were enjoying this more than they probably should. 30 minutes later, we were seated on the floor watching as she opened bazillion presents bought by our friends. Honestly, I didn’t know they would go above and beyond for this thing, especially when I have all organized it in a short period of time. It didn't even take the full 24 hours but they were all in. “I kind of knew it was coming so I started preparing gifts,” Oli reveale

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 77

SKY POVThe painful memories as well as the haunting shadows of agony were slowly swept away by the firm tides of time, and every day my body changed visibly and profoundly as the lives inside of me grew bigger and bigger. My daily life was impacted extremely and I knew it intimately I was going to have one hell of a hard time bringing the cubbies to life.It was safe to say the pregnancy wasn't all bananas as I had hoped, but with all that pain and struggle came love I never knew was possible. Kayden was aware of my struggles and how the pregnancy was taking a toll not just on my body, but on my mind as well, and my man did all he that was in his power to share the burden with me. As much as it hurts every day considering how big I was, I was really not complaining because this time, I got a very fair share of a partner who supported me greatly. He was with me all day long and gave up half of his work life just to be by my side. At first, it was just a milder thing but when time went

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 76

SKY POVThe day flew by faster than I had anticipated. Cassie insisted on going here and there without getting rest and by now, I was beaten up so bad that all I wanted was to soak my feet in a tub of warm water and take a small nap. I was really tired and all of these seemed rather pointless.I get that she wanted to spend some time with me, do the girls’ things and shit, but I was so tired, especially after loitering the whole day. But then again, the look on her face made it all worth it. I don’t remember the last time she was this happy, so outgoing with a buoyant smile on her face. So I just let her have her moment and didn’t fight her.As promised, Kayden showed up after a short while to find us seated in a coffee shop with some dessert in front of us. As soon as he stepped into the building, I felt this magnetic pull that had me gazing in his way and there he was, dominating the small space looking like something sculpted by the gods themselves. He was dressed neatly in a blu

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 75

KAYDEN POVWaking up the way I did had to be, hands down, the best way a man can ever do. For the rest of the day, I had a slight jump in my steps and a burst of laughter in my voice. And there could ever be the only reason why I looked like I had a loose screw in my head. Skylar Babe Smith. It was safe to say that, that little sweetheart made me the happiest version of myself. And with every day that passed, there was no believing that I had the opportunity to be the one that woke up beside her in the morning. The way I was, the way I was smiling from time to time, I am damn sure I looked nothing like the usual sour wolf who wore an angry scowl for more than half of my life. And frankly, I didn’t care. I may have tried to keep my cool, and be the badass man I used to be, but it was just too impossible. And concealing the feeling I had didn't sound much like a thrilling idea. I was happy, and the whole world deserved to know because just a mere thought of that little vixen had my he

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 74

SKY POVThe morning sun streaked across the room, bathing the surrounding with its glorious halo signaling the birth of the new day. A hot, soft yet heavy arm snaked around my waist, absent-mindedly pulling me closer to a wall of muscles and cocooning my back in a rampage of loving heat. A soft giggle escaped my lips when I felt a hot velvety rod nuzzled between the cradle of my naked butt cheeks, and the wild vixen in me prompted me to shift a little, just to get it moving. My moves were rewarded by a small groan and shallow breathing, as he continued frolicking around the comfort of his subconscious. The arm securing me in his hold tightened around me, and I fought a little to turn so that I could face him and stare at him sleeping happily. Gazing at his hard, yet soft features, my mind was suddenly flooded with all kinds of thoughts, especially the occurrences that had gone down the past few weeks. All the pain, all the hurt, only because of one big misunderstanding? That had to be

  • My Sister’s Fiancée   Chapter 73

KAYDEN POVAlmost before her feet could touch the ground underneath the car body, I was right in front of her already hoisting her up in my hold. A small giggle tore from her lips as she circled her arms around my neck, her head resting on my shoulder. If I was not already madly in love with her right now, I swear I would have fallen right at that moment.“I can walk you know?” She said in a little voice, and I was happy that she wasn’t fighting me on this one. I gave her a slight nod as I continued my strides toward the house, being careful not to rock her body and God forbid, hurt my babies inside of her body. To think that there were little almost-humans baking in there, it was something so surreal that made me shudder whenever I thought of it. This beautiful woman was making my life complete in all the ways I never knew I lacked.“Kayden, come on. I am pregnant, not dying of stage 76 cancer.” She retorted and it was my turn to laugh. She can be so hilarious when she wants.“I neve

SKY POV*TWO WEEKS LATER*“I STILL DON’T LIKE YOU!!!” Diego exclaimed before slamming the door right on Kayden’s back, wrenching a burst of laughter from out of me. He returned from the door with a sly grin on his face before plopping himself right next to me where I was nuzzled cozily with blankets and shit.“Cut him some slack, will ya?” I threw a small cushion that was stuffed behind me to support my back, at him, and he expertly caught it before leaning back into the chair. “I don’t think I am ready to tell him that I have forgiven him.” He confessed causing my lips to drop in a lope-sided smirk.“So you are just going to keep him on his toes and have him guessing?” “That’s kind of a point yeah.” He huffed before staring blankly into the space.“He is the father of my god-kids, and yes he is really trying to make up for all the shit, and honestly, I am moved.” He clutched his chest and then let out a loud huff, facing me. I couldn’t help but snort out a very unbecoming sound.“
