As Chase sized up the man, the man was also scrutinizing Chase. He seemed surprised to see such a young pair of men and women. His gaze then moved past them and landed on Trevor and the others. His expression immediately hardened as he spoke.

"Who are you? Why have you intruded into Bactria?" he demanded, his tone filled with suspicion.
