ARIA’S POV

After a few minutes of sitting in silence, my curiosity gets the better of me, and I switch the TV back on. There's something unsettling about the way I turned it off so abruptly, and I can't shake the feeling that I need to understand what I was seeing.

The screen flickers to life, and almost immediately, a news report fills the room. They're talking about someone named Ethan Mitchell, who is lost at sea along with others. The camera shows a somber-faced reporter standing on the shore, speaking about the desperate search efforts and the slim chances of survival.
