69. For tonight

As the sun dipped below the horizon, the noise in my room drifted away with the evening rays. Clutter lay scattered on the floor, bed and desks. For the first time since moving into my dorm, we completely transformed our room into a typical high school girls. 

Eyeing myself in the mirror, I smoothed down the fabric clung to my torso. Anna advised me to not overindulge in my lunch to better fit into the dress, and I was finally realizing what she meant. The black gown that Anna let me borrow seemed as though it was tailor-made for me. It hugged my curves and held onto my skin in all the right places. The boat neck revealed my clavicles, but had managed to conceal the bruises above my chest. From the neck line all the way to the hem of the long sleeves, shimmering silver dotted the cloth. The skirt of the gown reached my toe tips, however, a slit on the left revealed my skin more than I appreciated.&nbs
