55. Breathtaking

Kiara’s POV

I rubbed my hands on my thighs as I made my way through the front porch. Tiny bouts of moisture had accumulated on the inside of my palms due to the nervousness as my heart refused to slow down its pace. With every step I took, it thumped harder against my chest, making me wonder if this was a good idea at all. I knew that the person on the other side was someone I knew well enough and cherished for long, however, the idea of seeing him as my date was making me nervous all of a sudden. 

This meeting was unlike any other, as now I felt a sense of expectation to fulfill. I had this self-imposed responsibility of impressing him, reinstating his belief in me that I was an ideal partner to him. I was still not sure if being with him was a good idea, but my heart seemed to have already made up its mind. In many ways, I knew what I wanted,

it's seems like in this story nobody communicate wit their wolves. that's why it's hard for them to know if they're mates r not. where's the spark, the pull of the bond. doesn't she needs to accept his rejection. confused a lil but still reading.

Agreed. There is no talk between Kiara and her wolf. It is the same thing for Markus.
