Kiara’s POV
Cold water cascaded down my body as I stood rooted in my place. Clasping my eyes shut, I felt my muscles tense as the relentless shower poured from above, drenching me entirely. My breathing was shallow as teeth chattered against each other, protesting against the chill but I refused to move away. I knew that this was a fleeting moment of torment necessary to charge my body, while numbing any soreness in my body.
Early riser that I was, I woke up before the sun’s rays filled the sky. I had only gotten a few hours of sleep in the past few days, but my body refused to spend any more time on the bed. Realizing there was going to be no use in trying to chase sleep once I’d woken up, I’d decided to take a quick shower.
