Third Person’s Point of View
It was another busy day in the Blood Shadow pack (what’s new), and everyone was running around, trying to do some last-minute touches before the commencement of Rivalee’s and Belluci’s first birthday party.
In the midst of the bustling people, there stood two gentlemen on the stairway, observing a large portrait hung over the wall.
“It’s up again, huh?” River asked.
Dalton placed his hand under his chin. “Yes. How many times has it been? 12? 13 times since it has been replaced?”
River nodded his head. “Yeah. I can’t believe Kairo always manages to hang it again after Arlo already destroyed each and every portrait.”
“Well, that’s one thing about Kairo—he never gives up.”
Ella, seeing the two idling idiots standing on the stairway, stomped over to where they were with crossed arms.
“Stop looking at Kairo and Arlo’s ballet portrait and go to the front gate to greet the guests. They
Thank you all for coming this far! I would like to give out my sincerest thanks to all of you who have supported this book from start to finish. I hope that you stay tuned for all my other books! With love, Sand Kastle
ArloThe moonlight shone the brightest at eleven in the evening, the Blood Shadow pack being vivified by its brilliant luminance. Today was Sunday. It was different from the Sundays when the pack usually rested. Excitement flooded the hall as people started chatting about today’s main event. Today was the day— the day of my coronation.“Pleasant night to all of you!”The crowd erupted into cheers as my father’s voice encapsulated the entire venue. I peered from behind the curtain and felt my breath get caught in my throat when I saw that there were much more attendees than I was expecting. It seems like my parents had also called the other packs to join my coronation since the seats were jam-packed.“You can do this,” I whispered to myself. “You’re not the incoming Alpha of the strongest pack in the world for nothing.”Once I said those words to myself, I felt a surge of courage enter my v
Hera“Gross,” I said as I watched the two teenagers kiss on television. It was a reality show that my parents were religiously watching, and it revolved around the lives of teenagers traveling around the world to find their mate.Cy and Saran turned back to me with smiles on their faces. “Gross?” Saran chuckled. “You’re bound to do that someday, Hera. You’re already 17, so you’re going to find your mate very soon, and I’m sure that you’ll take back those words once you meet him.”I clicked my tongue and shook my head. “Never in a thousand years,” I said in a resolute voice.“Is Hera shitting on your favorite show again?” River, my brother, said while trudging down the stairs with two luggages in hand.“Language, River,” Saran exclaimed while turning off the TV.“Cut me some slack, mom. It’s my last day here, so forgive me?”
HeraIt has been a week since River moved out of the house, and things are going back to normal once again. At first, Cy and Saran called him on the phone thrice a day, but now they only contact him at night. Things have gotten pretty awkward in the house now that River wasn’t around, but it’s nothing grand. My adoptive parents and I have been in a distant relationship ever since I found out that they weren’t my real parents anyway.I was currently sweeping the floors in Cy’s office when I accidentally stumbled on his bookshelf. Some books fell out, and I clamored to pick them up on the floor. I carried the books in my arms and was about to place them back on the shelf. However, what I saw next made me freeze in my spot.A beam of light came from the spaces where the books usually were, and it seems like there was something beyond this room. Motivated by my curiosity, I peeked into the bare spaces and gasped in shock when I saw that there
HeraEver since I found out about my possible relationship with Kamala Ahearn, I’ve become warier inside the house. Everything seems to be suspicious, and I can’t help but think that Cy and Saran are truly hiding something from me. Even right now, they’re acting out of the ordinary.“You’re not going to watch your favorite show?” I asked, perplexed why Cy was already turning off the television.“Not today, Hera. Saran and I have some things to talk about. So, we’re just going to watch the replay or something,” he said while standing up from the couch.I frowned. They never miss their favorite show! Ever since it started airing two years ago, they’ve never missed an episode up until now. When the annual meeting with the elders clashed with the schedule of their show, they even opted to postpone it! Something’s definitely going on.“I’m heading to bed then. Good night,&rdqu
Hera“1, 2, 3…” Click. “One more time,” I said while readjusting the camera lens. “Yeah, that’s great. You guys look good together,” I complimented both of them.It was the day of my 18th birthday and also the day of my planned escape. Cy and Saran were dressed in formal attire, oblivious to the fact that I had already packed all of my belongings upstairs.“Why don’t you join us for one photo?” Saran asked, holding out her arm for me.I hesitated for a minute.“Come on, Hera. We don’t have a proper picture together now that you’ve gotten older. Just think of it as a commemoration of your 18th birthday," she coaxed.I sighed. “Alright,” I said.I squeezed in between them and flashed a small smile. The camera blinked for ten seconds until it finally flashed, signifying that the picture had been taken.“Let me see,” S
Arlo“Aren’t you going to get ready?” Devyn asked while bursting into my room. I just finished training the newly-assigned pack warriors, and I wanted to take a quick nap before going over some paperwork.“For what?” I asked, confused.Devyn looked at me incredulously. “Have you forgotten? It’s Laura’s coming-of-age party! Didn’t you notice the decorations around the house?”My eyes widened. “Oh, shit. Is it the 19th already? I thought that was tomorrow. Fuck,” I cursed. “Don’t tell Laura about this. She’s going to kill my ass if she knows.”“Don’t tell me about what?” A soft yet intimidating voice asked. My shoulders stiffened as I heard her voice from outside the door.“Laura! My sweetest little sister is finally turning 18, hmm? Are you excited for your birthday? You look beautiful, by the way,” I said while
Hera“Phew,” I said, wiping the sweat off my brow. That was tough. I didn’t have an invitation to show to the guards, so I had to climb over a wall in the very back of their packhouse. I didn’t think that I had to use my muscles so early on in this plan!I stealthily walked through their garden, going unnoticed. It was a really good choice that I wore all-black today since I blended in with the dark background. From where I was, I saw people clad in fancy dresses and suits going inside the huge packhouse.I looked down at my own clothes and shook my head. Yeah, I’m definitely going to stand out if I go in looking like this. I need to stay as low-profile as possible if I want to execute my plan perfectly. Guess I have to watch through the windows this time.I walked closer to the house and found an unobstructed window. It was a little bit far from the main scene, so I couldn’t make out their faces that much. However, I c
ArloIt was so fun teasing my mate. She would get red and all, and her eyes showed so much emotion every time I went near her. I didn’t plan on teasing her so much, but she insisted that she wasn’t my mate when she clearly was.My wolf, Shadow, practically started shouting in my mind, telling me that the girl in front of me was my mate when I first saw her. There’s no denying that we’re mates, especially when our skin made contact with each other. I felt like a thousand bolts had just flown down my body.I moved closer and closer to her, leading us to go into the house. Her back was against the brick wall, and she was glaring up at me. Even now, I find her adorable.“Happy now? What the hell do you want from me?” She said, her voice sending chills down my spine.I smiled. “I’m very happy. There’s nothing that I want from you because it’s YOU that I want,” I said in a deep voice

Third Person's Point of View"Dad, please. We haven't been on a date for like...ten months? Don't you think we deserve it?"Kairo merely glanced at his son before continuing to pack his back for the upcoming fishing trip that he was going to have with his friends."That's normal, son. When your mother and I had Laura, we didn't go on dates until she turned four.""That's a lie," Arlo retorted. "I clearly remember grandma Lily telling me that she'd often take care of Laura just so you and mom could go on dates."Kairo scratched the back of his head. "Well, can your date wait another month or so? I have fishing trips booked every weekend of the month."Arlo groaned. "We can't, dad! We'll be busy with Rivalee's and Belluci's joint birthday party by then! And you're going out fishing once again? Who are you even going with? Unce Dalton hasn't been fishing since Belluci's birth!""Well, it's his fault for having a baby so late. I'm g
Third Person’s Point of ViewThey thought that there would only be peaceful days from now on—as Dalton and Arlo would be more focused on their children that they wouldn’t even have any time to ensue chaos. However, there was still one problem that they had to solve—the baby names. The two couples, along with River, Devyn, Emery, and Kairo, were seated on the living room couch, conversing about the topic of baby names.“I thought you’ve already decided on something during your term,” Emery said.“Yeah,” Ella said. “But Dalton thought that our little bean was going to be a girl and named him Princess.”“Then maybe you can just call him Prince,” Emery suggested.“That’s what I said!” Dalton exclaimed.“I feel like it’s too typical. And we’re not a kingdom, we’re a pack,” she defended.

The two women groaned in pain as they were carried down the stairs. The moment they got down to the living room, they saw their two husbands hugging each other."Thank you for saving my life, Arlo. Although, I would have totally won the competition if you just let me be."Arlo harshly patted his uncle's back, causing him to cough out. "I should have just let you choke to death."Devyn cleared his throat, causing the two men to look at them. Their eyes widened in surprise, and they rushed over to where they were when they saw their wives being carried by Devyn and River."Wh—What happened? Did you get hurt?" Arlo asked Hera."Love, did something happen?" Dalton asked his wife.Hera wanted to respond, but she was in too much pain that she couldn't even utter one word.Thankfully, Ella, who has
Third Person's Point of ViewThe Blood Shadow pack has never had a peaceful day after they discovered that both Ella and Hera are pregnant. Their husbands made it a pact to overdo each other in every aspect when taking care of their respective wives. From buying baby clothes to painting the nursery rooms and even down to the number of kicks that their babies have, the two men fought with pride.Even today, they were competing to see who could peel the most apples for their mates. Currently, they had a tower of sliced apples in front of them.Their wives, unbeknownst to the war happening in the kitchen, were happily conversing on the couch while watching a cartoon show."How far are you in the term right now?" Hera asked.Ella groaned. "I'm 42 weeks in right now. I'm already two weeks late to my delivery date, and by this time, I just want to give birth to this stubborn baby.""How about you?" she asked."
Third Person's Point of View"Do you think Hera's been acting weird these days?" Dalton asked, looking at the newly-wedded woman sitting on the couch and scarfing down on some lettuce. Not salad.Lettuce.Just plain lettuce.River clicked his tongue. "Well, my sister has been weird since birth, but I do agree that she's weirder these days.""Do you think it's because of Arlo? Has Hera finally lost her mind after marrying him? Maybe I should have warned her more about his weird mannerisms before their marriage," Devyn said.Dalton nodded his head in agreement."Are you badmouthing me behind my back?" a voice suddenly interrupted. The three men looked behind them and saw Arlo with his arms crossed, looking at them with raised eyebrows."You're weird. That's why your weirdness has rubbed off onto my sister," River blatantly said.Arlo frowned."There
Third Person's Point of ViewIt was a beautiful morning in the Blood Shadow pack—not a single sign of chaos ensuing. That is until a familiar scream was heard all around the house."WHAT?" Dalton shouted, turning off the television.Ella worriedly looked around the house, afraid that Dalton's scream would wake up the other pack members."Shh, why do you have to shout? I'm just asking you to be the chaperone for Lyra's field trip.""But why?" he whined. "I'm going fishing with Kairo and the boys."Ella clicked her tongue. "You went fishing three days ago, Dalton! Maria invited me out to the town, and it's been a long time since we hung out. Don't you think I also deserve to go out of the house?""Would that be okay, though? Won't you get tired considering that you're pregnant?"Ella sighed and crossed her arms together. "Are you assuming that pregnant women can't go out and have fun anymore?"His e
Third Person's View The Blood Shadow pack has had a busy year. From Dalton and Ella's marriage to Hera and Arlo's, and now it was the birthday of the pack's most treasured child—Lyra. Each member was assigned a certain task. Some were assigned to cook food, the others with decorating the interior of the house, while others were just idle onlookers waiting for a task to be assigned to them. Dalton, on the other hand, was given the most important task of all—distracting Lyra while all the preparations were still coming through. You might be wondering why the pack needs to distract an incoming five-year-old on her birthday party, but Lyra has become much smarter than they think—maybe even smarter than Dalton. She picks up on things very easily, and even on her last birthday, she found her birthday presents before people could give them to her. Before the preparations commenced, Dalton woke Lyra up. To his surprise, Lyra was already up, leanin
Third Person's Point of ViewNot even a month after Dalton and Ella’s marriage had passed when Arlo and Hera announced that they were planning on getting married. Emery, feeling a fiery passion in her heart, took the initiative to plan everything regarding the wedding. With her supernatural powers combined with her unwavering will, she was able to finish the preparations in just one month. And today, the most awaited event finally came.Hera and Arlo are currently separated in two rooms. They haven't seen each other for two days now because Emery planned a Bachelor and Bachelorette party for each of them. Arlo whined and groaned to his mother for arranging the party because he couldn't bear not seeing Hera on the days leading to their marriage.Arlo spent the entire night thinking of his mate and wishing that she was by his side. Hera, on the other hand, was having the time of her life. They went to an exclusive resort where they just drank and dance
