Ella

She looked so lost and confused after she heard what I had just said.

“W-what?” she stammered.

I smirked, tilting my head to the side. “You heard me right. You can’t give him anything he wants because I’m already able to give him everything. I am his everything.”

“And hear this,” I added. “You can give him everything you have, but he’s still going to love only me.”

She pursed her lips together and tried to act brave; however, I could see her facade slowly crumbling.

“You’re lying.”

I chuckled. “Why would I be lying about this?”

“It’s because you want to steal him away from me. Stop lying that you’re carrying his child when I know that you’re physically unable to.”

“Oh honey, I can’t steal something that’s already mine. Why are you acting so protective over someone who isn’t even yours?”

“B—but...You! You fucking bi—,” Amara tried to curse me out, but Dalton pushed her away from me, causing her to fa

I wouldn’t have let him off so easily. I’d have broke it off with him the moment I saw him letting her touch him at the construction site. Not only was he willingly allowing another woman to touch him but in public too. That’s double humiliation. I don’t believe in fighting over a man. It’s dumb

Hera“I’m so glad that they’ve finally made up. For some reason, I felt like I was caught up in their tension even if it wasn’t my problem.”“You said it. I felt so uncomfortable when uncle Dalton came into the room with Amara. Speaking off, is she finally out of our pack?” Arlo asked.I nodded my head. “Yes. Finally. I’ve never liked her from the beginning. I’m glad that uncle Jordan was able to kick her out of the pack...and the project.”He chuckled. “So you’re calling him uncle Jordan now, huh? I thought you didn’t like him and that he was the spawn of satan.”I looked down on my lap. “Well, I think I might be wrong about him. He seems like a decent guy—not great, but nice enough for me to respect.”He ruffled my hair. “I told you he was a good person. He just comes off as creepy since he has an overly-friendly personality.&r

  • My Rival, My Mate   Chapter 79: The Overthinker

ArloI know that I said I’ll support Hera no matter what, but now that we’re outside of her new university, it’s getting quite difficult.I was on the driver’s seat, biting my lip in anxiety, as we neared Hera’s new university. River and Devyn were in the backseat, and they told Hera about how the school was. Hera excitedly listened to them with a cute smile.Seeing her smile should have eased my heart, but I still felt a little bit anxious. What if someone messes with her? What if she slips down the stairs and permanently injures her spinal cord? What if she meets a scumbag that won’t leave her alone?I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn’t realize that we’d already arrived. Damn. I wanted to drive slower so we’d arrive later, but now that’s ruined since I wasn’t thinking properly.I parked my car in one of the spots and locked the door, so they wouldn’t be able

ArloI sat down in the booth behind them. A waitress gave me a menu, and I just pointed at a random food item. She looked at me strangely before finally leaving me alone. From where I was sitting, I could see Hera with that glasses dude clearly. In front of them were Devyn and River. If I didn’t personally know them, I’d think they were on a double date.I removed my mask for a second to take a sip of water. I fanned myself with my hands since it was getting quite hot. My outfit isn’t helping at all since I feel my temples getting wet from the sweat.I straightened my back so that I could see more about what was going on. My eyes widened in surprise when the glasses dude offered his ice cream to Hera.Hera didn’t even refuse! She also let him taste her ice cream. The waitress came in once again, but she wasn’t alone. My table was quickly filled up with multiple food items—pizza, fries, br

ArloI straightened my back and looked him in the eye. I internally scoffed while looking at him. There’s no doubt that I’m much more good-looking than him.He held out his hand for me and showed a friendly smile.“Hi! My name’s Jake.”I just looked at his hand and made no effort to shake it. Hera nudged me at my side, causing me to show a fake smile and shake his hands.“Arlo. Nice to meet you.”I made my voice deeper than usual, so he’d feel more intimidated. Hera looked at me strangely, but I kept my gaze on Jake all the time.I could feel that he was getting more and more uncomfortable with each passing moment, causing me to smirk.Hera cleared her throat and patted my arm, so I looked at her.“Yeah?”“Our class is almost up. I think you should go now.”I frowned. I didn’t want to go yet.“Come,

DaltonElla has been pregnant for three months now, and to say that it has been tough is an understatement. Ella’s body had been feeling unwell, and she made it a pact to make me feel it too.I don’t mind it that much, really. I guess I’m just too blinded by love.I looked lovingly at my beautiful wife, who was brushing her teeth in front of the sink. She just puked her dinner down the toilet, and she was sulking since I wasn't able to bring her to the bathroom on time. She glared at me while I smiled at her.She spat out the minty foam then rinsed her mouth.“What are you smiling for?”“Can’t I smile for no reason?” Even in her worst state, I still find her so beautiful.“Are you making fun of me?”I straightened my back as I looked at her offended face. Where did she get that idea? Before I could even have the time to respond, she had

Dalton I shivered as soon as I woke up. I lifted my head up and saw that it was still dark. Is it not morning yet? I heard the sound of snow falling on the ground and confirmed that there was an ongoing snowstorm. I shivered once again, so I snuggled under the covers more. Who the hell turned off the heater? I glanced at the heater and saw that it was turned on. Just then, I felt just how heavy my head is. I also tried sniffing, but my nose felt blocked. Great. I think I just caught a cold. I almost forget what having a cold felt like because it’s been so long. I sighed and held onto my forehead and felt that it was hot. I think I’m running a fever too. Ella must have felt me fussing around because she lifted her head up and looked worriedly at me. “Why are you up so early?” she asked in a groggy voice. “Ignore me and go back to sleep, love.” I didn’t even realize that my voice ha

Four years laterHeraI sighed as I watched the two children bicker. It has already been three months into the academic year, and they still fight every day! It’s cute every now and then, but sometimes it just gets repetitive.I looked at the clock and tapped my foot on the ground. Their parents are once again late in picking them up. I try to separate them during class hours, but they inevitably fight during dismissal time because they’re always the last ones to be picked up by their parents.Just then, the little girl cried out. I turned my attention to them and was about to walk to where they were and stop their fight. However, I halted my steps when I saw the little boy’s eyes change. His eyes—which were ones filled with mischief, turned to ones of concern. He became warier of his actions as the little girl cried into her hands. After much hesitation, he finally started patting her back.

  • My Rival, My Mate   Chapter 84: The Wedding

HeraThe entire pack was busy bustling around while getting ready for their Beta’s grand wedding. I was already finished with getting dressed and getting dolled up, so I sat down on one of the chairs while waiting for Arlo to finish getting ready. After a while, he finally walked out of the changing room—looking as dapper as ever. Even after so many years, he still takes my breath away. I can’t believe that it has already been four years since we’ve been together. He smiled when he saw me waiting for him. He walked to where I was and led me to stand up. He placed my hands around his shoulders while his own hands settled on my hips.I giggled as he swayed the both of us and hummed a romantic tune.“I swear you’re turning into an old man. You’ve become so cheesy,” I teased him. He clicked his tongue. “I’m 26, baby. I’m not that old if you ask me.&r

Third Person’s Point of View It was another busy day in the Blood Shadow pack (what’s new), and everyone was running around, trying to do some last-minute touches before the commencement of Rivalee’s and Belluci’s first birthday party. In the midst of the bustling people, there stood two gentlemen on the stairway, observing a large portrait hung over the wall. “It’s up again, huh?” River asked. Dalton placed his hand under his chin. “Yes. How many times has it been? 12? 13 times since it has been replaced?” River nodded his head. “Yeah. I can’t believe Kairo always manages to hang it again after Arlo already destroyed each and every portrait.” “Well, that’s one thing about Kairo—he never gives up.” Ella, seeing the two idling idiots standing on the stairway, stomped over to where they were with crossed arms. “Stop looking at Kairo and Arlo’s ballet portrait and go to the front gate to greet the guests. Third Person's Point of View"Dad, please. We haven't been on a date for like...ten months? Don't you think we deserve it?"Kairo merely glanced at his son before continuing to pack his back for the upcoming fishing trip that he was going to have with his friends."That's normal, son. When your mother and I had Laura, we didn't go on dates until she turned four.""That's a lie," Arlo retorted. "I clearly remember grandma Lily telling me that she'd often take care of Laura just so you and mom could go on dates."Kairo scratched the back of his head. "Well, can your date wait another month or so? I have fishing trips booked every weekend of the month."Arlo groaned. "We can't, dad! We'll be busy with Rivalee's and Belluci's joint birthday party by then! And you're going out fishing once again? Who are you even going with? Unce Dalton hasn't been fishing since Belluci's birth!""Well, it's his fault for having a baby so late. I'm g

Third Person’s Point of ViewThey thought that there would only be peaceful days from now on—as Dalton and Arlo would be more focused on their children that they wouldn’t even have any time to ensue chaos. However, there was still one problem that they had to solve—the baby names. The two couples, along with River, Devyn, Emery, and Kairo, were seated on the living room couch, conversing about the topic of baby names.“I thought you’ve already decided on something during your term,” Emery said.“Yeah,” Ella said. “But Dalton thought that our little bean was going to be a girl and named him Princess.”“Then maybe you can just call him Prince,” Emery suggested.“That’s what I said!” Dalton exclaimed.“I feel like it’s too typical. And we’re not a kingdom, we’re a pack,” she defended.

Although, I would have totally won the competition if you just let me be."Arlo harshly patted his uncle's back, causing him to cough out. "I should have just let you choke to death."Devyn cleared his throat, causing the two men to look at them. Their eyes widened in surprise, and they rushed over to where they were when they saw their wives being carried by Devyn and River."Wh—What happened? Did you get hurt?" Third Person's Point of ViewThe Blood Shadow pack has never had a peaceful day after they discovered that both Ella and Hera are pregnant. Their husbands made it a pact to overdo each other in every aspect when taking care of their respective wives. Currently, they had a tower of sliced apples in front of them.Their wives, unbeknownst to the war happening in the kitchen, were happily conversing on the couch while watching a cartoon show."How far are you in the term right now?" Third Person's Point of View"Do you think Hera's been acting weird these days?" Dalton asked, looking at the newly-wedded woman sitting on the couch and scarfing down on some lettuce. Not salad.Lettuce.Just plain lettuce.River clicked his tongue. "Well, my sister has been weird since birth, but I do agree that she's weirder these days.""Do you think it's because of Arlo? Has Hera finally lost her mind after marrying him? Maybe I should have warned her more about his weird mannerisms before their marriage," Devyn said.Dalton nodded his head in agreement."Are you badmouthing me behind my back?" a voice suddenly interrupted. The three men looked behind them and saw Arlo with his arms crossed, looking at them with raised eyebrows."You're weird. Dalton shouted, turning off the television.Ella worriedly looked around the house, afraid that Dalton's scream would wake up the other pack members."Shh, why do you have to shout? I'm just asking you to be the chaperone for Lyra's field trip.""But why?" he whined. "I'm going fishing with Kairo and the boys."Ella clicked her tongue. "You went fishing three days ago, Dalton! Maria invited me out to the town, and it's been a long time since we hung out. Don't you think I also deserve to go out of the house?""Would that be okay, though?
