“James, can you hear me?” I asked as I tapped him fervently, hoping that he would open his eyes, even for a minute.

“Claire! Ethan”, I called out again as I walked over to them. They mumbled some inaudible words but that was all. Their state of unconsciousness still had a strong grip on them.

“What are we going to do? Why are they not waking up?” I asked as I turned to Jason who had his hands folded to his chest.

He had a massive frown on his face and it wasn’t hard to see that he already concluded that I was the enemy.

“Look…I didn’t do this! I can swear that I didn’t do this”, I cried out, with tears pouring out of my eyes.

“I would believe you if only you bring them back to consciousness”, Jason said and I opened my mouth in shock.

“Consciousness?” I asked and he nodded his head in affirmation.

How was I going to bring them back when I had no idea of why they were in such state? What does he expect me to do?

“I have no idea of what to do. I mean, I didn’t do this to them.
