Third person. It was already some days after the return of the quad and there wasn’t any plans to go help Kayla. The boys were so angry at their father but he seemed to have made up his mind in that regard. He wasn’t going to help save Kayla and if she died in the forest, it wasn’t going to be of any concern to him. Now, he went ahead to organize a party to celebrate their return from the academy when his step daughter was out there in the forest. “What are we going to do?” Mason asked Ethan who was standing before them and wearing a massive scowl on his face. They were dressed in a tuxedo, but the looks on their faces was enough to tell the entire guests that things weren’t great. Their father walked over to them, with a stern look on his face. “Follow me, all of you!” He declared, causing the quad to stare at each other in surprise. The look on their fathers face was enough to tell them that something was wrong. They took in a deep breath and nodded their head in affirmation.
Third person. Kayla was staring at the seer, waiting for her to tell her the exact person who might be responsible for her mother’s death. A part of her heart pointed at her step father because she couldn’t place her hands on why he suddenly turned strict and wicked out of the blues. That was something that wasn’t even closely related to his traits at all.“Tell me. You are a seer! Who killed my mother?” Kayla yelled out of her lungs, breathing heavily. Her eyes suddenly started changing between blue and red. “That’s it…rage. Keep going”, the seer said, staring at her with an interesting look on her face. Kayla was taken aback by this. She had thought that the seer would swiftly tell her who it was that killer her father. However, the seer seemed to be just interested in seeing her get angry. The ground started rumbling at that point, as though an earthquake was at the verge of taking place. “Who killed my mother?” Kayla screamed out of her lungs and a part of the ground opened up
Third person. The boys walked back into the party arena, with a big scowl on their faces. They looked at their father who was currently talking to a group of guests that were invited to the party.Deep down, they didn’t actually see a need for the party because they barely spent up to the complete three months they were supposed to spend at the academy. Usually, the parents sent their children to the academy because they believe that it was a great place to get mind blowing knowledge that makes them different from others. At this, each time a werewolf returned back from the academy, they threw a party to celebrate them. “What’s the use of this party? Kayla is not anywhere in sight and we didn’t even get to spend three months over there”, Ethan said as he let out a loud hiss and returned his gaze to their father who was stealing glances at them. After what seemed like ages, their father cleared his throat and hit a fork on the glass cup he held, causing everyone to turn to him in
Third person. Kayla looked at the seer intently. It’s been over a day since she met the seer and she was yet to give her the entire information she wanted. “A step a time, Kayla”, she would say to Kayla each time she tried to ask her another question about her. Kayla was still laying on the bed and unable to move her body. She couldn’t help but think of the type of knife the forest beast had used to strike her legs because they hurt badly. “Would I still work?” Kayla asked with a cracked voice as tears welled up in her eyes. She didn’t tell anyone this but the truth was that her greatest fear in life was waking one day to see that she couldn’t make use of her legs anymore. “What would be the use of my powers if I can’t walk?” Kayla asked as she sniffed hard and looked at the seer who was just wearing a smile. She couldn’t decipher why she was wearing a smile when it was a very serious situation. “Please, can you stop smiling. What would be the need of me being special if my le
Jason. It was nighttime already. The sky was quite dull and scanty and this was exactly how I felt at the moment. The pack looked dull without the presence of Kayla and this made my heart heavy. I wanted a final chance to make things right with her. I understand that I’ve been the worst person to her but that was only because of how I was trying to keep my feelings and emotions at bay. Just as I laid down on my bed, I couldn’t help but recall the little sweet moments we shared after we knew that we were mates. That day, I had been sick after getting drenched in rain for a couple of hours. At first, I didn’t make to tell anyone that I was sick because I just remained in my room and cuddled myself under the blanket. My temperature was on the rise and I was shivering badly. It didn’t take long before I started feeling dizzy and sick as well. Just then, Kayla had walked into the room, with a bowl of soup, as though she knew that I was sick. Honestly, that was the first time I was st
Ethan. I was about to get some sleep when a knock came to my door. I was exhausted and my body almost felt numb. It’s been a very hectic couple of days and even if I was drowning in thought of Kayla, I knew that there was a great need to rest and get some sleep. The knock came again and with a grumpy look on my face, I walked over to open the door. I was still displeased as a result of the stupid decision our father had taken without involving us. Again, I was trying so hard to think of how to avoid that wedding but no idea was coming. The last person I wanted to get married to and make my Luna was Bianca…not after all what she did to us after discovering that Kayla was our mate. The knock came again some seconds before I got to the door and I hastened up to get it. It was Bianca. “What the hell!” I muttered under my breath, rolling my eyes at her and not making any effort to conceal how displeased I was with the fact that she showed up by the door at this time of the night. “
Kayla.“I can’t do this. I’ve been trying this but nothing is happening”, I cried out as I looked at the woman who was looking at me as though I was joking. I had blood flowing out of my nose and that showed that I was making use of my entire powers to see that I walked again. “You aren’t doing something right Kayla. I mean, it would work but you aren’t doing it right”, she screamed at me and that was when I lost it. I screamed out of my lungs, causing her hut to shake fervently and then another party of the ground to tear open. “What the hell! I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to do that. I’m just so angry that I’ve been laying down on this bed for almost two days and nothing I’m trying is working out”, I cried out, sniffing hard and wiping off the blood that came off my nose. She smiled softly and walked over to me, patted my cheeks softly and led me to bed. “You will be fine, Kayla. Just take a deep breath and relax. We would continue all of these tomorrow”, she said and I sighed d
Third person. “What other condition are you talking about?” Kayla asked the seer who cleared her throat and shut her eyes for a moment. She chuckled lightly after which she laid back on the bed and turned off the small lamp that illuminated the entire room. “It’s time to sleep, Kayla. You must not know about everything all at once”, she said to Kayla who was beginning to get angry because of how she pushed off things that were meant to be important. All through the night, Kayla barely got any sleep. She tossed from one side of the bed to the other, wincing in pain each time she felt the pain on her legs. Once it was daybreak, Kayla was already up and waiting for the seer. “You haven’t told me your name”, Kayla asked the minute she stood up and drew the blinds open. She smiled calmly and walked over to Kayla. “Call me Barbara. Not everyone knows me by this name. Most people prefer to call me the dark seer”, she explained to Kayla who nodded her head in understanding. Kayla’s m
