I tossed on my bed for the hundredth time, unable to sleep or even, close my eyes. Each time i closed my eyes, I saw images of Kayla and how she looked at me with an expression that suggested how much of a betrayer I was.

A deep hiss escaped my lips as I dug my hands into my head and jumped out of the bed. I grabbed my coat and decided to go take a walk since I couldn’t get thoughts of her out of my head.

It was so stupid to think that I had told her how I would watch over her. That day at the school hall way, I had held her hands firmly and promised to look after her because she was my responsibility.

But then, it was now looking as if I never said something like that because we now treated her like a stranger. What kind of a mate was I?
