Kayla POV

I grabbed the little box the minute the man went in to get the compass and luckily, he didn’t take note of what I had done when he returned.

Once I was done, I dashed out of the library and started making my way out of the academy. I thought of going over the fence, but I knew that my physical strength was so low that I won’t be able to jump over. At this, I had to think of something.

I had a compass, a map and the little box that might help me. At this, I was very set for my quest to find the seer.

“Kayla!” I heard a very loud and familiar voice and immediately, I hid behind a tree.

It was Jason. My heart raced as I looked at him intently, trying so hard to decipher why he was calling me. He was the same person who pretended that I didn’t exist and a couple of minutes ago, he was standing there on the stage and telling the entire world that he was in love with me.
