Third person Pov: Bianca stood by the pool area, with her hands folded to her chest just as she paced around.Ashley was sitting on one of the lounge chairs, patiently waiting for the test Bianca had claimed that she would carry out to prove her point. Deep down, Ashley presumed that Bianca was only being paranoid and unnecessarily disturbed, but she decided to remain mute and observe. “Isn’t she coming? It’s been ages since you sent that servant to go get her”, Ashley sighed in frustration as she held on to her forehead that still ached her.Even if it’s been weeks since the accident with Kayla, Ashley was yet to be fit. Most times, she had severe migraines that prompted her to scream in pain. It ached her heart that Kayla was out there having fun while she was wallowing in pain. But then, there was nothing she could do about it since no one believed that Kayla did that to her. She did her herself and she knew it, but didn’t know how. Her only suspect in this case was Kayla.“She
JasonThe past days turned out to be smooth and not filled with so much events. Kayla was cool with everyone of us and that created a bond I never imagined that I could have with her. I knew that the mate bond thing was real, even if I claimed otherwise. This was because of how much I had Kayla in my thoughts, even in my dreams. It started feeling like I shared a life with her because my entire being was engulfed with things that concerned her.I tried to stay away from her as much as I could too, but that didn’t always work out because we would bump into each other during breakfast, lunch or dinner.I was on my way to the football field when I looked towards the pool area and saw three ladies. A closer look at them revealed Bianca, Ashley and Kayla.Ashley was sitting some distance away from them, but I could tell that she was interested or involved in whatever it was that was currently going on. “What are they up to now?” I asked myself as I stopped in my tracks to observe them.
KaylaThe quad all stood around my bed, staring at me as though I was a treaure that was just found. I finally sat up and cleared my throat, even if I had no idea of what I wanted to say. I had a lot to say, especially to Jason who saved my life. But then, looking at each of them suddenly made me lose my will to speak.“I didn’t do her anything! I can swear to that. She just pushed me into the pool”, I started, with a sincere look on my face.I had thought that they were going to start blaming me for upsetting their girlfriend, or something like that.“Are you okay?” Jason asked instead and walked over to me, placing his hands on my forehead to be sure that my temperature was good.Ethan was the next to come sit beside me. He pulled me into a warm hug that melted my soul. Jake and Mason stayed back, but their eyes were fixed on me.“You scared us back there! Don’t do that again”, Mason said and licked his lower lips that almost made me swallow my tongue. He never failed to display hi
JakeUsually, I’m that brother in the quad that is last to learn of situations or that is forgotten. Put in short, I am usually forgotten and sometimes, treated as though I don’t exist. I didn’t care about that though. I loved how quiet and simple my life was…until Kayla came into the picture. I had a thing for her right from the minute she was introduced as our step sisters. There was a longing for her in my soul, and deep down, I wanted to have her in my arms. However, we were the very popular alphas and I had to succumb to punishing her together with my brothers. That act of ours made us feel sort of powerful, even if we saw her in pain.Somehow, I felt glad that she was our mate, but still, I felt sort of inferior and shy whenever I was in her presence. She had a fierce aura that made me recoil and melt, despite how hard I tried to carry myself or feel aplomb.“I would go take a walk. Take care of her”, Mason said and patted my back, after which he walked out of the room.Deep
KaylaThe minute the quad left my room, Bella came in and took a seat beside my bed. She seemed to be lost in thoughts and I needed no one to tell me the reason why.“I heard that Bianca was only trying to carry out a test and it was just as she predicted”, Bella started, staring at me intently while I scrunched my brows in a bid to pretend as though I had no idea of what she was talking about. “A test?” I asked and she nodded her head in affirmation.“She intentionally pushed you into the pool because she wanted to see if the quad would come save you and just as she thought, they did”, Bella added, with a thoughtful stare that almost made me laugh.“I don’t think that’s true. I mean, there are always rumors at the pack and one can’t know which is true or false”, I said and waved my hands at her to signify an end to the discussion. However, Bella was not willing to end it there. She had a lot in her mind and this was evident in her expression.“No…it might be true. The quad never c
JasonI was fuming with rage as I made my way across to Ashley and Bianca, who didn’t seem to be moved by what had just happened.I grabbed Bianca on her neck until she winced in pain and struggled to free herself from the grip.“What is wrong with you? You tried to kill her”, I declared defiantly, while they gazed at me as though I’ve just uttered something I wasn’t meant to.“You never used to be concerned with that. What changed?” Ashley asked with a cracked voice. I could see a stream of tears in her eyes. But then, that didn’t seem to bother me a bit. I was just furious that they planned to kill Kayla.“That was only a test! That was a test”, Ashley blurted out, and for a minute, I thought that I had heard wrongly. My emotions almost gave me away at this point, but I braced up and upheld my stern gaze.“And what are you insinuating?” I asked sternly, gazing at the both of them with a blood shot eyes.“Bianca was trying to prove a point, that you all can’t watch Kayla getting hur
KaylaI can’t remember the last time I felt so much tension in the air. The air was extremely stuffed and the glares coming from Bianca and Ashley were enough to rip my heart apart. We were sitting round the large dining table, facing each other, with the quad also sitting beside us. My heart was beating frantically, and my body was shaking in anxiety. I knew that I haven’t felt this way in a long time…a feeling of anxiety. This was basically because of the powers that I possessed. However, deep down, it felt as though something would actually go wrong, even with the powers I have inside of me. “You both would have to apologize to Kayla”, Jason started as I shifted my gaze to stare at him. It was crazy to see him as the person who backed me up the most. I knew that each of them grew a soft spot for me the moment they discovered that we were mates. However, Jason’s overprotectiveness was over the edge, and it stirred weird feelings inside of me.Ethan was sitting at another end of
Ethan’s PovI had a book in my hands as I barely paid attention to what was currently happening. Whatever it was I read was more important than the meeting that currently took place and this was because I wanted to know what my fate with Kayla would entail. After discovering that we all had her as our mate, I indulged in an intense research session, to find out what could have prompted that and how to act in such situation. For the rest of the month, I was willing to continue with the research, right until I laid my hands on something tangible.Bianca gently tapped me beneath the table, with a soft eyes that made it impossible to believe that she was the one who attempted to kill Kayla at the pool.“Can you plead on my behalf? I can’t apologize to Kaya…it would be a wound to my ego”, she whispered, with a small frown on her face. I scoffed silently and shoved her hands away from my body. Even if she was my girlfriend, the last thing I was going to take was someone who would attempt
Third person. A month after the death of the Alpha King and the rift between Kayla and the quad, she decided that it was time to let them in on everything that happened when she was at the forest. She wanted them to know that she had to choose just one of the quad as her mate for life and that was the instruction from the moon goddess. She broke the news to them one morning and the shock on their faces showed that they weren’t expecting to hear something like that. “But she chose you as our mates!” Ethan cried out. He was quite pained to hear such, even if he hadn’t really said so much words to Kayla. “You will find another mate once I make my choice”, Kayla explained as they both exchanged glances with each other. They gulped down hard and nodded, gesturing for her to go ahead with making her choice. “And so, who are you picking?” Jake said as he stared at her, as though he wished that she would choose him. Kayla stared at each of the quad, with tears dripping out of her eyes.
KaylaIsn’t it funny, the way live goes? How things start up on a bad note, only to transit to being good and then, return back to being bad. The quad had been a thorn in my flesh right from the very beginning but when they turned out to be good, I had a change of thought about them.It was crazy to witness a time when they returned back to being mean and nonchalant about things that concerned me, their mate. This was exclusive of Jason, who despite all, took me in and told me that he still needed me around. That gave me a sort of hope…if Jason wanted me, then I’m just fine. The strange woman whom I had met during my journey in the forest had told me that I could only choose one of the quad and I just knew that Jason was going to be that one. None of them knew about that, at least not yet. I had no idea of what such information would bring but I was getting ready to bring them in on it the moment I felt was right. “What are you thinking of?” Jason asked as he walked over to me,
Third person. Kayla swirled around to meet Jason, who had his hands inside his pocket and his gaze lowered to the ground. He had a small smirk on his face, and a questioning look that sort of asked the question of why Kayla would ever think of leaving the pack. “Jason?” Kayla called out, quite surprised to see him there even though she wasn’t so convinced that he would want her to stay back. As long as she was concerned, she was unwanted at the pack and has always been unwanted at the pack. “Where are you going to?” Jason asked again as he took another step closer. He has this fierce look on his face that suggested how he was both pained and confused by her decision. “I’m leaving”, she replied with a voice that sounded like a whisper, trying so hard to avoid gazing into his eyes. Jason gulped down hard and darted his eyes away again. “And why are you leaving?” He asked as he rolled his eyes at her. “No one wants me around. You all think that I’m a danger to your pack b
KaylaI sat on my bed as every memory I ever had at the pack started pouring back into my brain. I blinked off the tears that welled up in my eyes as I stood up and strolled over to the window. A huge part of my life was in this pack, and although most of it turned out to be terrific, I still didn’t want to leave. However, I needed to because despite how hard I wanted to make amends with the quad, they weren’t willing to do so. I finally packed up my bad and started making my way out of the pack. I could have easily made use of my powers to vanish and never be seen, but for some reasons, I wanted every single person at the pack to see that I was leaving indeed. Just as I approached the gate, I felt someone watching me. I swirled around and tried to place my hands on who it might be but I couldn’t. At this, I ignored the weird feeling and trudged further away. And then, I heard what sounded like footsteps. It was clear that someone was following me but whosoever it was didn’t want
Kayla It was high time the entire fight came to an end. I was exhausted and needed someone to cling on but that seemed to be impossible because every single person deserted me. “Please, let’s make peace”, I said to Jason who was looking at me as though he had just seen a ghost. Despite how hard he tried to avoid having an eye contact with me, I could tell that he missed me as much as I did.“Kayla, everyone needs space at this point and it’s only cool that we leave things the way they are”, he explained just as I searched through his eyes as though I could really tell what he felt. “That’s not true. Deep down your heart, I know that you want all of these to end. I know that you desire me. I know that you want me. I can feel it in my bones”, I said in a whisper as I used my hand to caress his cheeks softly. He froze the minute my hands touched his skin and that was yet another confirmation of what I had just said. There was no need extending the situation when we could have peace a
Third person. Everything remained silent for a couple of days. However, the silence that reigned over the entire pack was one filled with so much tension. The quad were lost and unable to think of how to proceed with carrying their responsibilities as alphas. Kayla on the other end couldn’t tell if she wanted to leave the pack or remain there, especially because the entire quad was mad at her. Jason was not left out too. He was usually the one standing so firm behind her. It was quite heartbreaking to see him look away from her. She took slow steps out of her room, not failing to observe how the members of the pack shivered immediately they set their eyes on her. She was truly exhausted and all she wanted at the moment was peace. She hated being a reason to be talked about by the entire pack. Just as she walked, she bumped into someone and that prompted her to travel all the way to the ground. She let out a deep sigh after which she rubbed her hands that was terrible hurtin
Third person. Kayla ran out of the scene as fast as her legs could carry her, not sparing anyone of them a glance. She never intended to make use of her powers but it seemed as though her powers reacted in time it sensed danger “I don’t like this! This is becoming one crazy rollercoaster and I’m certainly not ready for this”, she cried out the minute she got into her room. “But you miss them…”, her wolf whispered and for some seconds, her cries turned to silent tears. “I do…but I doubt that things would go back to how it’s been”, she said, her heart broken to a thousand pieces. The quad were still hiding inside their various rooms, in their mourning state. On my part, I was cold and numb as I sat in the garden. I had a lot of thoughts in my head and even if I direly wanted him to apologize to me, I didn’t wish his death. Third person. Kayla and Jason were just in the middle of sharing a warm hug when a voice interrupted from behind, causing them to swirl abruptly. “Yes! She is a threat to this pack and if anything, she should be eliminated”, the voice added and slowly, Kayla lifted her head to meet that of the owner. It was Mason. Her heart dropped as she took down a very big gulp of her own saliva. She jerked up to her feet, lowered her eyes to the ground and drew in a very deep breath. “Mason, I understand how you feel. I felt that same way when I learnt of my mother’s death. Trust me, I was hurt to the core”, Kayla tried to explain but that seemed to further infuriate Mason. Mason eyes were on fire as he glared at her in rage. It felt as though she was responsible for their entire predicament. “Your mother’s death? Was that why you did this?” He asked with a broken voice and again, Kayla’s heart missed a beat. She couldn’t tell if she was sharing their pain because she was also their mate,

I had a lot of thoughts in my head and even if I direly wanted him to apologize to me, I didn’t wish his death. He brought his death upon himself though because he had thought that Denver’s pack was at peace with him. That was the major mistake that allowed his death. Just then, a loud wail came booming directly into my ears and abruptly, I felt a cold shiver running down my spine. It was Jason. My heart broke into a thousand pieces as I held myself from jerking up and running towards his room. They hated me and I knew it. I had refused to help them with my powers even though they screamed and asked me for help. What was I meant to do? Save the man responsible for my mother’s death? That was something I would never do. A tear dropped out of my eyes as I clutched on to my chest and broke into a very silent sob. This might just be the re
