No…. I didn’t feel an iota of remorse for how I spoke to Kayla. She was beginning to feel like a special person, and I didn’t like that. She was making every one of us to behave like fools, and they all played along, without asking questions.

Each of them liked her now and that was enough to irritate me to the core. I didn’t like that, and nothing was going to make me change my idea about that.

She glared at me, and I almost choked on my meal. Despite how fierce I was willing to hold on to my ideology, I couldn’t deny the fact that her stares were piercing through to the deepest part of my heart.

My brothers argued with me for a while, but Kayla remained silent. I caught a glimpse of tears in her eyes and my heart broke for a second.
