It was a mistake

Hazel's POV

" I can do that for you "

Umera told me with serious eyes, I was still crying, but he made me stop.

" Umera what are you saying? Did you spy on me? Did you hear our conversation? "

I'm slightly angry, knowing he means well and he always protected me.

" I was worried Hazel, I can't let you go there without guarding you "

With a calm voice, he said looking deeply into my eyes.

Did he not hear that the prince is a vampire and drank from my blood?

I won't mention that, Umera's eyes are weird right now.

The moon is reflecting on his eyes made it more silver, more terrifying.

" Let's sleep now, we will run away tomorrow okay? We don't have to kill anyone, I will leave this past behind me, and you're not a killer "

I told him and went under the blanket, I don't know why he suggested something like that.

Was he my crime partner?

Maybe we're killing together, Ugh, I don't want to think about the past, but I want to fix it.

After running away I'll ask Umera to visit our village, or what is left of it.

I felt Umera's hands hugging me, finally, he is going to sleep.

Maybe he is thinking deeply as I do too.

Sometimes I feel like I'm raising a baby, he is handsome and has a bright smile but, he is so clinging to me.

I felt my eyes closing, just the warmth that I'm feeling, the bright moon lighting our room.

This night Umera couldn't sleep, he knows exactly what Hazel got herself into.

He thanks God that the dirty prince didn't tell her what really happened.

What actually happened.

He kept his promise, promise to help him, to hide his dark past.

After hazel went into a deep sleep, Umera kissed her forehead mumbling " I'm sorry "

Umera left the bed looking in the moon's direction, his hair starts turning silver, his body was turning white.

His claws start showing, his fangs.

His fur slightly appeared but he was keeping his human form, walking on his legs to the king's room.

There were not enough guards, just two sleeping outside the king's room.

He killed them shoving his claws in one's neck and biting the other's neck, they died in a second.

He opened the king's chamber pretty slow, taking his sweet time enjoying this.

He found the vampire king meditates, as vampires don't sleep well, however, the king's new wife was sleeping soundly.

Umera smiled a little decided to kill her first as the king would be angrier and fight him.

Without hesitation he sunk his claws inside her neck, she starts to choke.

The king woke up from his meditation to find out his wife is dying.

" MARY !! "

He shouted throwing Umera away from her, but she is already dead.

The king looked at her doesn't believe it, Umera was licking his fingers.

" Long time no see, Barry boy"

He dropped the formalities as he already killed his wife.

The king looked at him in anger.

" You ! "

He grabbed Umera by his clothes looking at him with his furious red eyes.

" I know there was something off about you, I shouldn't let you work here, my son insisted "

Umera smiled with blood on his face.

" You're the one that set a bounty on my head, you should have known I'm going after you "

Umera pushed his hands away looking at the king's mirror fixing his clothes.

" You have killed 13 people of my people, burned hundreds of villages, commit theft and other horrible crimes, you thought you can do whatever you want Silver! "

The king was extremely angry and shouting, he is crying over his dead wife.

" I didn't choose my path, I was forced to do it anyway, but what about you killing the ruling family and taking their places you and your family, you want to control humans as much as I do, don't act innocent, we know each other well "

Umera said his last words before he turns into a complete  wolf and attacks the king who was fighting back.

" The previous king was weak, he didn't know how to rule or fight, it's the New Era, the vampire ones, you wolves think you know everything, but no "

The king was speaking as he strike.

" Silver you've abandoned child, your family hated you, the humans hate you, you're a disease in this world "

Silver went in a rage state by the king's words, his hours increased, and before he moves, a dagger pierced the king's chest in Infront of his silver eyes.

The king was shocked looking behind him to find his only son, holding the knife, smiling widely.

The dagger is made of silver, inside his heart he felt numb, he looked at his dead wife and coughed blood.

" You're slowing us from controlling the humans, dear barry "

Xenia, the king's favorite Servant said as she enters the window with the prince, Alex.

He dropped dead and faded to ashes, Umera turned into a human again, grabbed the nearest clothes to cover himself.

" Oh, look at that body, these wounds"

Xenia said moving slowly around Umera, he looked at her with anticipation.

" I know that stupid girl human cannot kill the king, our dear slave here did it instead "

Alex said, dropping the dagger and clapping his hands.

" You drank from her blood, touch her again and I'll slash your neck open "

Umera said attacking the prince, before he do, the prince teleported behind him, grabbing his neck to whisper in Umera's ear.

" Too slow "

He said and before he crack his neck, Xenia grabbed Alex's arm and threw him away.

" Stop! We still need this slave, he is our weapon to get rid of scum humans "

Xenia said walking in her black fancy suit, her purple heels.

She approached Umera in one move.

" You're so stupid to bring your mate here dear Silver, you always liked to travel alone, now you Carry a burden on your shoulder, I suggest you kill her too"

She almost kissed him but he moved his head.

" Who's the next target ?"

He quickly asked ignoring her talk and she laughed loudly.

" 30 guards is guarding the kingdom's door, you need to take them down for me, Our dear people cannot enter without your help "

She spoke putting he arms above Umera's shoulders.

" When? "

" Tonight! "

Alex said behind him after he fix his broken arm after Xenia threw him.

Umera was thinking deeply about Hazel, she's in danger here, but he needs to kill the guards tonight to keep her safe.

" Oh, don't be afraid, Hazel is safe and sound here, when you return, she would run to welcome you inside her arms "

Xenia said then moved away from him putting some of her lipstick.

" I won't touch her, I was just wondering who's your girl, I wanted to play with her a little, nothing serious, don't worry "

" Still, you shouldn't have lied to her, she's now thinking she's the killer "

Angry Umera said and Alex rests his head on his arm.

" C'mon, it was funny seeing her terrified face, don't you think? She's so hilarious thinking she could kill, she is like a small puppy hiding inside a box"

Umera clenched his hand and looked Infront of him.

Hazel's POV

I'm walking inside a large field, tall magnificent sunflowers all around me.

There's a person Infront of me, picking some of them, cutting them with a knife.

I smiled walking towards him, his face is so bright, his hair is black, his clothes remind me of...

" Umera "

I whispered when I'm so close to reaching him, but suddenly his face becomes darker, his smile faded away.

His black hair becomes grayer.

" Hazel, I can't live without you "

He was walking towards me, his face cracked and I saw a horrible monster.

" Stay away from me! You're not Umera! "

" I had to do it, I didn't mean to, they always treated me like a monster "

The sunflowers burned and the ground opened itself, I was about to fall but he grabbed my hand.

" It was the only way to survive "

" U, Umera? "

He was crying but didn't help me to climb yet.

" It was a mistake loving you "

He said and left my hand.

...........

" Noooo "

I said while looking around me, I was in my room, Umera wasn't beside me.

I was sweating so much trying to breathe.

" Watching you panic in your sleep is so, calming"

I looked in the other direction to find red eyes glowing in the dark approaching me slowly.

" A week passed, you still- "

" I'm killing the king tomorrow, I promise, I, I was gathering my courage "

I said quickly, starting to see his face, I tried to find the lights button but he grabbed my hands, put them above my head.

" Sweet Hazel, what I'm going to do with you, you're, making me wait, always did, even after I drank your blood and gave you a warning "

He whispered Infront of my face, but suddenly I grabbed his clothes.

" Did you hurt Umera?? WHERE IS HE ? "

I said in a sharp tone trying to be quiet, but he laughed out loud.
