MORE CONFLICTS

The tension in the house was suffocating. Alex sat on the edge of the bed, his head in his hands. He had hoped that his actions would lead to healing, but instead, they seemed to have driven a deeper wedge.

Emily, "No babies, no peaceful marriage, no loyalty. I am leaving this house until you get yourself back, Alex. You are not the man I married."

Her words cut deep, but Alex was too exhausted to fight anymore. He looked up, his eyes filled with a mixture of anger and resignation.

Alex, "I'm sorry if you think that. But fuck it, I don't care. Do whatever you want to do."

Emily’s face twisted in pain and fury. She turned on her heel and stormed out of the room, slamming the door behind her. She quickly packed a suitcase with her essentials. The weight of her decision settled on her as she zipped up the bag, but she couldn't bear to stay in the house a moment longer.
