I talked to Tanner for about twenty minutes. He explained to me that he wanted to take his kids and leave without Ruby knowing. After he witnessed her putting the cabin ablaze, he confronted her. She more or less told him that he could not leave her. If he did, she threatened to hurt herself, him, and their kids. He was scared that she would follow through with her threats so he asked me if I could help him disappear.
