Stanley P.O.V
So, like Earle, many other males that fathered children outside of Matelock. Went searching for their pups and brought them back to the Packlands. But only if the child had an actual wolf present in them. If they were wolfless, they were either left alone or killed. But if the child had a wolf. Then they would do as Earle did and kidnap the mother and child. Earle marked Mom in hopes that she would provide him with more wolf baring children. But after many years of being unsuccessful. He killed her because she was of no more use to him. I was relieved to see her go. She was a ghost of her former self. And she was suffering mentally with what we both were going through. Her being forced to be a breeder. And me being beaten into becoming an Alpha.
Before she died, she told me to never be like them. To choose my own path in life. Never give in to the peer pressure. But that is easier said than done. Not only am I looked down upon and put to the test constantly. By my siblings, uncles, cousins and father. But also by my wolf, Negan. Most Weres have mutual control over their wolves. But not me. Negan takes control over me on a whim. And doesn’t care about the consequences. He’s impulsive and vicious! And always feels like there’s a chip on his shoulder because he is ‘stuck’ with me.
Anyway, humans were destroying smaller Packs left and right. Our Pack, Shadow Paw, got its name by constantly being on the move and not being discovered. We would lie low in wooded or mountainous areas. Living among the wildlife. Running into the occasional hunter, hermit, nomad, camper or hiking and disposing of them swiftly. We have found a substantial area and have been here for a while now. But we are always ready to vacate and destroy the area in a heartbeat if necessary. We burn any evidence that can connect us to the region.
We’ve been experimenting to see what works. And found out that Marking them helps to create pups. But even then, some Breeders are defects. Once they are Mated and pregnant, we can smell if they are having a pup or not. Some males would kill the Breeder and find another. Some would try a few times with her, but if she were unsuccessful. They end up killing the Breeder and the wolfless child. Earle has been training me since he brought me here to be an Alpha, along with my brother, Deontay. Because we are the oldest. And because the she-wolves are infertile, he has brought many of them to practice Mating with us. He says it was so we would learn what we did or didn’t like. And learn to be dominant over the Breeders. Calling them nothing more than ‘weak human females’. But the more I heard about Fated Mates. The more I yearned for the one that was created just for me.
There’s only one person that kept popping up in my mind, Khailah! She’d been my best friend since birth. I was going to ask her out on the last day of school. But then Earle kidnapped me and my Mom! All these years, I’ve never stopped thinking about her. Or what Earle did to her and her family afterwards. When the Pack was settled closer to my hometown. Some of my friends and their family went searching for mom and me. I cherished my friends even more for their concerns and efforts. It was all over the news. But one day Earle announced that ‘some humans were snooping around and needed to be taken care of’. A week later, he returned with a group of Pack members, all dirty and bloody. When I asked what happened, he said, “I took care of your little girlfriend and her family. They can’t talk to you from their graves!”
And they all laughed at me. He had killed her! And killed my friends and their families as well! I hated him so much! I tried to retaliate but was tortured for months by Earle, my uncles, and the Beta. Even my wolf, Negan, that had recently emerged was against me. Broken and alone, I gave in and submitted after almost a year of torment. My mom saw what they had done to me. And discovered she was pregnant with a pup and killed the pup in retaliation for what Earle did to me. And because she didn’t want another one of her children suffering from what I had gone through. Or subject to this insane way of life. Earle kept trying four more years to get her to bare his pups. But she’ll find a way to kill them if she discovered that the unborn child had a wolf. When I was 15 years old, Earle killed her. I was sad and glad to see her go. Sad because she was my mom and only ally here. Glad because she no longer suffered under Earle’s tyranny.
I shift, making my way to the gate past the clearing. Where all the new Breeders are being chosen, Marked and Mated. A familiar scent wafted in my nostrils. A scent that I have not smelled in years. I continued trotting past the moans, grunts, groans, crying, and screaming. As the scent of lemon blueberry muffins grows stronger. I spot the semi-truck that left almost 3 weeks ago to collect Breeders from all over the states. They nestled it on the earthen road, within the trees. I see an Omega tossing a bleeding Breeder over his shoulder. He slaps her butt while grinning and walking to the clearing behind me. He nods, “Morning, Alpha. Got me a wild one!” He laughs loudly, slapping her butt again.
But the scent remained here. I sniff the air. The delightful scent was coming from the truck. I hurry to the truck...the hell?! Grrr! I stepped on a tiny razor blade. I’d guess one of the Breeders was carrying it for protection. Not like it would save them from us. I see one more person near the entrance of the truck. I hopped into it. And spot this gorgeous honey. Sniffing past the filth that soiled her clothes, I look closer... No way, really?! I shift looking down at her terrified shivering self. Negan asks, “It’s her, isn’t it?” Her shocked, lustful gaze and her succulent arousal sears my senses as I complete my shift. I can’t believe it! “Khai!?”
In a world where humans and Lycans have a mutual hate for each other. Both species are continually looking for ways to eradicate the other, permanently. Currently, there are around 1,000,000 Lycans left in the world. But that number is rapidly depleting due to a malignant manmade virus. This virus has made all the last living She-Wolves infertile! No more pups are born! So male wolves have begun kidnapping human females and forcing them to become their ‘Breeders’. Khailah, 21, signed up with a human rebellion group that has set up human females fitted with nanotech spy equipment. She was to infiltrate the Pack and get info on the wolves to take them down for good! But she never expected to run into a missing childhood friend while on assignment. Will their friendship bloom again? Or will their hatred for each other’s species kill any chance of reconciliation? Stanley grew up the only child of a human single mom. Khailah P.O.V The filthy and packed semi-truck that we were in finally came to a stop. At least 100 or so females are inside here with me. Some of the ladies were crying, yelling for help, praying, or mumbling incoherently. Some of the more recent kidnapped companions are banging on the walls. While yelling to be freed! I’m actually not sure how many of us are stashed in the back of here. There are no lights inside here and my cellphone battery finally died two days ago. We’ve been in this truck for almost a week now, I believe. The only times that they’ve stopped were to add more females. When my phone still had some power, I turned it on to airplane mode to preserve the battery. And used the flashlight to look around at my fellow kidnapped companions. I had recognized about four other ladies from my rebel group. I held up my pinkie finger to them. This is a sign of our promise to take the Lupine kind down by any means necessary! Khailah P.O.V I found myself getting smashed into the wall! Crap, not good! I can’t die yet, it’s my first assignment! I sort of knew what to expect and didn’t know what to expect at the same time! My job was simply to infiltrate the pack, discreetly set up my ‘fingerprints’ everywhere, and get the hell out as fast as humanly possible! Simple. Oh, and about these ‘fingerprints’, they are nearly invisible copies of my skin. And they have a nano-sized camera and microphone attached to them. Just think of it as the tips of your fingers shedding their skin and you can leave it anywhere and everywhere, undetected. Well, hopefully, they are undetected. You just never really know with wolves and their heightened senses. The fingerprints can also adhere to any surface. And can be created in seconds. The plan is so I can leave them in as many places as I want to without drawing too much attention to myself. By casually touching a wall, desk, chair, or window. At least I hope it doesn’t draw a
