Kathleen got home to a mess in her apartment, moving out was a lot harder than she thought especially now that she was upgrading to a new place. She sighed deeply as she trudged through the piles of books and clothes went straight into her room, landed on top of her bed and let out a sharp scream with a muffled pillow over her face.

Today was the longest day ever and every passing minute she prayed for it to end, from the murmurs in the bathrooms to the disdainful looks everyone gave her—she went from one of the most liked to the most hated staff working in the company. Another sigh left her as she checked the time on her phone, she had a date tonight with her boyfriend—her first proper date since she broke up with Jacob.
