As Ryan opens the door to leave, he's faced with Gianna who is about to knock. She looks him up and down, for some reason.

"What are you doing here?" She asks him in a condescending tone. He opens his mouth to retort, offended by her behavior, but decides against it. She's just a teenager. He can't stoop to bicker with a teenager. He huffs and walks past her. His wolf felt insulted. "We should have smacked her in the head." He said to him. "To what end? She's not worth it." He responded.

He goes to his room and lays down on the bed, but hears Lisa's voice. She still sounds sad. "We should have insisted on finding out who or what made her upset and gotten them to pay." His wolf grumbles. "I know. I don't like that she's sad either, but there's nothing we can do. In case you've forgotten, there's an unspoken matter we haven't attended to. We're walking on testy waters here. We can't afford to push her buttons the wrong way. I don't want to pressure her." His wolf scoffs at his reply.
