Serena POV:

Elias hugged me throughout the evening, but occasionally, I caught moments when he looked at me differently. And when I raised my head, he would avoid it and look away. Many strange feelings arose in my heart, but I didn't know where they originated.

"Elias, do you want to tell me something?" I held his face and forced him to face mine. "I'm not used to seeing you like this; please say something."

Suddenly, Elias hugged me tightly, pressing his lips to my neck with a heavy voice. "Indeed, I have something to say."

Confused, I touched his back, not understanding why my heart was beating so fast. "I am listening."

Elias looked at me and sighed. "I've had Marcus investigate for the past few days. Even though some information has been tampered with and deleted by others, we still found a little about your identity."

My heart skipped a beat, and my shoulders trembled with emotion. I no longer dare put too much faith in someone else's words. But that person, Elias, is different;
