Chapter 47

Serena POV:

Once again, I woke up. I don't know how long I've been here, and I can't tell whether it's day or night. I just knew I was in a dark and damp cellar. This place feels utterly isolated from the outside world, and I don't feel any life around me.

The memories of the last few days in my mind are only being tortured and humiliated with vulgar words. Helen kidnapped me here while I was on my way to the hospital. I could have informed Elias based on our connection, but everything happened so fast that I didn't have time to react. I was knocked unconscious by her, and when I woke up, I was here.

Helen was utterly crazy, and she believed that all her misfortunes came from me, that I had taken everything from her.

I closed my eyes, tears rolling down my cheeks. I don't know how long this terrible thing will go on, and I feel hopeless when it's been days, and Elias still hasn't found me. Something must have stopped him, and perhaps when he saw me, I was a corpse.
