Chapter 100

Three more days have passed. We were locked in this dark place with no food or water. Every day, Elias would walk around looking for a way out, but to no avail. My legs were better; I could limp but was so hungry I couldn't stand.

"Elias, we probably won't be able to escape this place." I lowered my head in despair; hunger made me tired and hallucinated. "I'm about exhausted."

Elias hugged me; he hadn't had anything in his stomach for many days. He was about to say something to me but suddenly stopped, putting his finger to his mouth to signal me to be quiet. His face flashed with tension. I frowned in confusion but still didn't dare to move.

Then Elias took me and hid me behind a large rock, giving careful instructions. "If you hear noise, don't go out. Wait for me to return; this is our chance to escape."

I didn't understand what was happening, but an uneasy feeling made me hesitate to let Elias go. "What happened in the end? Can you explain more clearly?"
