JEREMIAH

I feel my anger still rising as he continues,

“When I fought you, it was not you… And the fact that I managed to get the better of you was proof of that…”

“Still, she is mine, and you had no right to interfere…”

I feel my eyes flash, and a wave of very strong anger overtakes me. I don’t think I just lunge at him. I connect with his jaw before he realises what is happening, but it doesn’t take long for him to block and fight back. We go back and forth, dodging and hitting. I am taken by surprise when he manages to hit me hard in the side of the jaw, knocking me to the floor, where I then hit the back of my head.

He steps back, still in his fighting stance but not attacking me anymore, but then I was the one to attack him, not the other way round. I go to get up when I am hit by an agonizing sharp pain that rips through me, starting at my head and going down through the rest of my body. I am quickly surrounded by darkness.
