The dinner was simple but elegant, and I began to relax the more we talked. I had never had wine before, and I was feeling a little funny. Joseph asked me to dance and I was embarrassed to tell him that I didn't know how.

"Come, Selena," he said, standing up and holding out his hand. "dance with me."

I stared at him, my heart racing. "I don't know how to dance," I confessed, feeling my cheeks heat up even more than the wine had made them.

"Don't worry," he said, his voice gentle. "I'll lead."

He pulled me up from the chair, his strong hands guiding me to the center of the room. He was so close that I could feel the heat radiating from his body, and I was suddenly very aware of his nearness. The wine had loosened my inhibitions, and I allowed myself to be drawn into the moment, closing my eyes and leaning into him.

As the music filled the library, he began to move, and I stumbled after him, trying to keep up with the rhythm. His arms wrapped around me, holding me close as we

The days leading up to the wedding were a whirlwind of activity. Dress fittings, meetings with caterers, and endless planning filled every moment. Yet, amidst the chaos, I made time to check in on Selena, always asking if there was anything she needed. I wanted to do everything I could to ease any anxiety she was feeling. Antonio had been keeping his ears open for anything brewing with the cartel. Deal or not, I did not trust Torres one bit. "Selena, I have to go out," I told her one evening as we sat in the library, her nose buried in a book, and me, going through paperwork. I have been spending most of my evenings with her. She was only one more class away from finishing her studies. She wanted to get it done before the wedding. I was so proud of her for how hard she has been working. Her eyes looked up at me with a hint of sadness, "Where are you going?" "Just a meeting," I said, trying to keep my tone casual. "It's nothing for you to worry about." Selena nodded but I c

The last three days has been a whirlwind. I have had my hair and makeup done. I have never worn makeup before. I don't even recognize myself in the mirror. I guess most girls would have their mother here to guide her through everything, but I didn't. Even though she walked out on me, I still missed her. Marta was here for me, and I care for her deeply. I think she has taken care of me like a mother should. The dress is beautiful. It's something from a fairytale, with its white lace and delicate beading. It makes me feel like a princess, but I can't shake the feeling that I am playing a role in someone else's play. Marta is beside me, her eyes filled with excitement. She is the one who picked the dress out. "You look beautiful, Selena," she says. "And you will make a stunning wife for Joseph." The words hang heavy in the air, and I can't help but wonder if this is what she truly believes or if she is just trying to comfort me. I look at my reflection again, searching for some sign

“I am ready, Joseph." Those words sent every bit of blood flow from my brain to my hardening cock. I leaned down and kissed Selena, my hand tracing the curve of her waist. She kissed me back, her arms wrapping around my neck as our bodies melded together. We had danced around this moment for weeks, but now there was no turning back. As I began to unbutton her dress, I took my time, savoring each inch of skin that was revealed. She trembled slightly, but she didn't pull away. Instead, she looked up at me with a mix of anticipation and trust. The weight of her gaze was almost too much to bear, but I knew I had to be gentle. The fabric of Selena's wedding dress whispered as it slid down her body, revealing the soft curves that had haunted my dreams. She was more beautiful than I could have ever imagined, and I had to remind myself to breathe as I took in the sight of her. She was no longer the girl struggling to just make it day to day, she was my wife, and I had promised to

Selena's breathing slowed, and she snuggled closer, her head nestled into the crook of my neck. Her heartbeat was a steady drum against my chest, and I felt a sense of peace that I hadn't felt in a long time. We laid there for hours, our bodies tangled together, saying nothing but speaking volumes with our embraces. But as the first light of dawn began to peek through the curtains, Selena's breathing grew shallower, and she shifted in her sleep. I felt a twinge of regret that I had to leave her side, but business called. I had to ensure that our new alliance with the Columbians was secure, and that she was safe from any retribution that could come her way. When I woke up, my whole body felt sore. My muscles ached from the love making. My insides were sore but not painful. Joseph had been so gentle with me. When I turned over, I had hoped to see his handsome face, but he was gone. My heart sank as the room felt suddenly cold without him. I reached out to the spot where he ha

I hated leaving Selena alone in bed this morning. I could lose myself in her for hours. Antonio was accompanying me to this meeting. I knew this ride was going to be interesting. I could just look at him and tell that he wanted to ask a million questions. "Go ahead, Antonio, ask away. I know that it is killing you to ask about last night." Antonio looked at me sideways, trying to gauge if I was serious. "I'm good, Boss." "Don't lie to me," I said, a hint of amusement in my voice. "I can see the curiosity eating away at you." Antonio finally cracked a smile. "Okay, okay," he admitted. "I only have one question. Was she worth everything that you have had to do for her?" I looked at him sharply, then nodded. "Every single second," I replied, my voice gruff with emotion. "Selena is not just a bargaining chip or a trophy wife to me. She is the one thing in this life that actually makes sense." Antonio nodded solemnly, understanding the gravity of my words. "I'm happy for you, J

Back at the estate, I couldn't shake off the feeling of unease that clung to me like a second skin. Selena's safety was paramount, and I knew that Torres wasn't a man to be underestimated. I found myself walking towards the library, the very place where Selena and I had shared so many intimate moments. The room was still, the books on the shelves standing as silent sentinels to our burgeoning love. Where could she be? I heard soft footsteps approaching from the hallway, and my heart quickened. I turned hoping to see Selena, but it was Marta. "Auntie, have you seen Selena?" Her eyes searched mine, and I could see the concern in them. "She's in the garden," Marta said softly. "I think she needed some fresh air." "Is she okay?" "As okay as can be," Marta replied with a small smile. "The transition is a lot for her, but she is stronger than she seems. She is so worried about letting you down and not being the wife you need." I nodded, understanding the weight of Selena'

As Selena slipped into the dress, I couldn't help but admire the way it clung to her curves, highlighting her beauty. She looked like a goddess, and I was the mere mortal who had been granted the privilege of her hand in marriage. I helped her tie the dress and watched as she took a deep breath, visibly steeling herself for what was to come. I knew she was scared, but I also knew she was strong. We walked downstairs together, my hand in hers, a silent declaration of our unity. The house was already bustling with activity as the Family started to arrive. The air was thick with anticipation, and I knew they were all curious about Selena. I had called this meeting not just to formally introduce her but to show them that she was not just a pawn in some twisted game but my partner, my confidant. The one person I was worried about was my uncle, Salvatore. He was my dad's younger brother, and he has felt the roll of Don should have been his. The door opened, and a sea of faces stare

Antonio led me into the library, the heavy oak doors closing behind us with a solemn thud. The room was filled with leather-bound books and the faint scent of cigar smoke. It was a place that usually brought me comfort, but now it felt suffocating. I turned to him, my eyes brimming with unshed tears. "What did Salvatore mean?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. "Was I really...bought?" Antonio sighed heavily, running a hand through his hair. "It's complicated, Selena," he said, his eyes filled with a sadness that made my heart ache. "You need to wait and talk to Joseph." "But what did he mean?" I insisted, my voice trembling with fear and confusion. The room felt like it was closing in around me, and all I wanted was answers. "Selena, it is for your husband to speak about this not me." "But Antonio," my voice cracked, "I need to know. What did he mean by 'bought'?" Antonio's gaze softened, his eyes full of empathy. He leaned against the grand mahogany bookshelf,

The night before the meeting with the De Angelos, Selena and I sat on the balcony overlooking the city we had sworn to protect. The stars above were a stark contrast to the shadowy streets below, a reminder of the dichotomy of our lives. "We can do this," she said, her voice soft but strong. I took her hand in mine, feeling the warmth of her skin against my own. "We will," I promised. "For our children, and for the future we've worked so hard to build." Our gazes locked, the love between us as unshakeable as the concrete jungle beneath our feet. Together, we had faced , and we knew this was just another challenge to overcome. The following day, the De Angelos arrived at our mansion, their presence a stark reminder of the alliances we had forged over the years. Their leader, Don Carlo De Angelos, walked in with an air of authority that matched my own, his eyes taking in the tension that hung in the air. "My dear friends," he said, his voice filled with concern. "What brings y

We sat in the nursery, holding each other, until the early light of dawn began to peek through the windows. The storm outside had passed, leaving the city washed clean and ready for a new day. Our hearts, however, remained heavy with the weight of our son's words. The following days were filled with tension, as Selena and I navigated the delicate dance of family dynamics and mafia politics. Michael was distant, often leaving the house early and returning late, his mind clearly preoccupied with the burdens he felt as the soon-to-be Don. Isabella, torn between her love for her brother and her loyalty to us, tried her best to mediate, but the divide grew wider with each passing moment. In private, Selena and I discussed our strategy, our voices hushed so as not to carry beyond the confines of our suite. "We must be firm," she said, her eyes gleaming with determination. "We can't let him believe that love is weakness." "Agreed," I replied, stroking her belly gently. "But we must

Isabella looked between us before slowly leaving the room, her gaze lingering on Michael, a silent plea for her brother to come to his senses. The moment the door clicked shut, the dam holding back my anger broke. "You dare to question my love for your mother, for our unborn child?" I roared, slamming my fist on the desk. "You dare to speak of survival as if love and family are weaknesses?" Michael flinched but held his ground. "Father, you're not seeing the big picture," he said, his voice tight with frustration. "This isn't about us, it's about the Family. We need a leader who will make the hard decisions, not one who is blinded by emotion." I took a deep breath, trying to keep my temper in check. "You think I don't make hard decisions?" I leaned forward, my eyes boring into his. "Every day I wake up with the weight of this city on my shoulders. Every day I make choices that could mean life or death for those I love." "But this isn't about you," Michael said, his voice ris

The whispers grew into a murmur as the Families watched the confrontation unfold, the room buzzing with tension. Selena’s eyes searched mine, her hand trembling as she tried to process Michael’s outburst. The baby, once a whisper of joy, had become a battle cry for a struggle we hadn’t anticipated.I hated the sadness in Selena's eyes. She was holding up the best she could until the guests started to leave the party."Let's go to our room," I suggested, my arm around her waist. She nodded, her steps heavy with the weight of Michael's words.Once we were alone, Selena sank onto the bed, her hands covering her face. "I can't believe this," she sobbed. "Our own son, telling us to... to end our baby's life."I sat beside her, pulling her into an embrace. "He has some explaining to do to me, my love. I have not completely stepped down as Don, and will not allow him to talk like that to you."Selena's sobs grew quieter, her body relaxing slightly into my embrace. "Joseph, make love to me?

Selena and I turned to face the twins, our hearts racing with excitement and trepidation. Their eyes searched ours, looking for the answer to the unasked question. With a deep breath, Selena announced, "Michael, Isabella, we have something to tell you." The twins looked at us, their expressions a mix of curiosity and concern. "Mom, Dad," Michael spoke first, his eyes searching ours for a clue, "what is it?" Selena took a deep breath and spoke with a smile that could illuminate the darkest of nights. "We're going to have another baby," she said, her voice filled with a softness that seemed to make the very air around us quiver with joy. Michael's expression froze, his eyes widening slightly before a flicker of something unreadable crossed his face. He was silent for a moment, his gaze flitting from Selena to me and back again. "Another baby?" he finally echoed, his voice low and measured. Isabella, on the other hand, lit up like a Christmas tree. "Oh my God!" she squealed, rushi

The room fell quiet as the gravity of his words sank in. Selena's hand tightened in mine, her eyes brimming with unshed tears. Our love had been tested by fire, forged in the crucible of fear and betrayal, but it had never wavered. From the moment I claimed her as my own, she had been the beacon that guided me through the darkness. One by one, the Family members approached us, their expressions a mix of awe and gratitude. They had seen the horrors of the mafia firsthand, the lives lost and the hearts broken in the quest for power and vengeance. But our story, our unyielding bond, had given them a glimpse of something else—a possibility of redemption and peace in a world that seemed to offer only bloodshed. Selena's eyes met mine, and I knew she felt the same hope swelling within her chest. Our love had been a catalyst for change, a reminder that amidst the chaos, there were moments of purity and beauty worth fighting for. We had survived the storm, and now, together, we would lead

"Marta, how am I supposed to go on without Joseph? The babies will never know how wonderful he was." I was trying so hard to hold back my tears, but they just would not stop flowing. "Selena, you're stronger than you know," Marta's voice was firm yet gentle. "You have the twins to live for, and Joseph's spirit will live on in them. Besides, we still have hope." Her words lingered in the air, hinting at something unspoken. My eyes searched hers, looking for a glimmer of what she wasn't saying. "What do you mean?" "The twins are a part of him, Selena," she said, her gaze never wavering. "And as long as you carry his legacy within you, so does he live. You must find the strength to keep going, not just for them, but for yourself." Her words resonated within me, a gentle reminder of the resilience that had carried me through so much already. I took a deep breath, willing the pain to subside, and nodded. "You're right," I murmured. "For Isabella and Michael, I will." "Marta, we need
