Cassie POV I followed Vasilios out of the house and toward his car as he opened the door for me to get in. He leaned over me to click the seatbelt in place and I was surrounded by his heady scent. The smell of cigars and whiskey had faded and his usual scent - something akin to the smell of rain in a pine forest - washed over me. “Where are we going?” I asked as he climbed into the driver seat and started the ignition. The corner of his lips twitched slightly before he answered, not even looking in my direction. “Just a place I want you to see.” Great. Well that clarified things. I crossed my arms and watched out of the passenger window as we drove down the driveway and to the opposite side of the tiny island.
