Too Sensitive

“What’s going on, Daciana? Are you two fighting?” King Edwin asked, and I just shook my head, unable to say a word.

I didn’t mean to. I didn’t mean to hurt him. It was from an unconscious mind.

“Dad, I’ll talk to her. You should go back to your chamber.” Randall uttered, and King Edwin nodded.

“Fine. Breakfast is in less than an hour. I expect you to be there so you can tell us what went down between you two. It better be a resolvable problem.” He answered and turned to leave.

With tears in my eyes, I watched him leave. I looked at Randall and he looked at me with soft eyes.

“What happened?” He moved closer and I embraced him tightly.

“I made a horrible mistake, Randall. I swear I didn’t mean to.” I mumbled against his shoulder, while he caressed my hair.

“It’s okay. Let’s talk about it inside. We can’t afford to be seen.” He responded and I nodded, entering my room.
