~Daciana~ “Mother?!” I yelled in terror as Randall and I hastily got off each other. I ran to grab my clothes while he just grabbed the duvet to cover his lower body. “How could you?!” My mother yelled in terror and I saw her eyes water. “Mom, please…” Before I could finish talking, she stormed towards Randall and before I knew it, she threw a slap at his face and my eyes popped wide open. “Mother!” I yelled in shock. “How dare you?! She’s your sister!” She cried, and I clenched my jaws. “Step-sister. We are not related.” Randall mumbled, holding the cheek she’d slapped. “You are f**king related! I’m married to your father!” She poked his chest angrily. “Mom, please! Shouting right now isn’t going to help! Please let’s go to your room.” I muttered, looking at her bump. Her being so stressed can affect her and the baby, and I wouldn’t want that to happen. “I should have known not to trust you two!” She smacked as she stormed out of the room. With my heart racing uncontrollab
~Prince Randall~ I waited impatiently in my room for Daciana to show up and tell me how it went with her mother, but she was nowhere to be found and this got me worried. I began to think that I should have talked to her myself and convinced her not to blow our cover. At least not now. I also knew that standing in front of Agatha right now would only make things worse. So, I just had to wait. I heard footsteps approaching my door and I hastily ran to get it. Opening the door, I saw one of my father’s guards and my heart skipped a beat. “Your Royal Highness, his majesty wants you in his room right now.” “Sh*t.” I cursed under my breath and headed out almost immediately. I began to imagine how Daciana was feeling, standing in front of my father. She would be so terrified. As soon as I got down the stairs, I began to run to his chamber. Getting there, the guards opened the door for me and I walked in to see Daciana on her knees. I clenched my jaws and rushed to her.
~Daciana~ ~After Three Months~ “Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you. Happy birthday to you, Randall. Happy birthday to you.” I sang in a whisper in his ear as he slept. I saw a beautiful and soft smile curl up his lips as he slowly opened his eyes. “I’m the first person to wish you. I deserve some accolades.” I uttered, and we both chuckled. “How about another round?!” He asked teasingly and immediately got on top of me, making me laugh hard. “No more rounds, baby. The one we did last night is enough to last you for a week.” I responded, with my cheeks flushing very hard.“You know I can’t get enough of you.” He pouted, and I nodded. “I know, baby. And I can’t get enough of you too. Now tell me. What do you want for your birthday? I mean your wish.” I uttered, and he furrowed his brows. “Are you supposed to hear my wishes?” “No, but I want to hear it. So tell me. What do you wish for?” I asked, and he sighed and laid down again. “You know what I want, Daciana.” He a
~Daciana~ “Uhmm…” I groaned, slowly opening my heavy eyes. I felt like there was a heavy load placed on me, and when I tried to move my hand, I could barely move. “She’s waking up.” I heard a voice from afar, as I finally opened my eyes. My vision was blurry, so I blinked severally, trying to get a better view of the two images in front of me. My vision got clear and immediately I saw both of them, my heart began to race in my chest. I looked around me and realized I was tied with chains, up to the ceiling in the middle of the room. My hands were chained together over my head. “Vervain. A Lycan’s most deadly poison. Able to kill a werewolf in a few minutes. With the appropriate amount, it can kill a lycan in minutes too. Just so you know, I just saved your life. You’re welcome.” Riley uttered, and I furrowed my brows. “What the hell is this?” I tried dragging the chains, hoping they would fall off from the ceiling, but I was too weak. My legs were also locked to the floor. I cou
~Prince Randall~ While Daciana left the house, I went ahead to do something for myself too. It was my birthday and I wanted a special gift. A gift no one could give me except myself. Finding out the truth about my mother’s death. These past few months, I’ve managed to keep my father’s attention off me about my mother’s case, and that is because I told him I changed my mind and that I believed everything in the reports. I tried looking for the doctor at the Royal Hospital after my first time there and I was shocked to hear that he left. ‘Who just leaves his workplace and disappears? Or maybe he didn’t just leave and my father had something to do with that after I told him I was going to visit the hospital to see Jonathan that month.’My father is now relaxed and also out for a meeting, which gives me an opportunity to search his chambers for the very first time. He had always had these meetings on my birthday, so it’s no surprise I had planned this. He never liked being around on
~Prince Randall~Getting to the address Jonathan sent to me, it was in the middle of nowhere. There was a house, with dim light evident through the window. ‘That is where they must be keeping her.’ I said to myself, turning off the car engine as I looked from inside the car for a minute. The light was coming from a room at the side of the house, while everywhere else was dark. ‘I should go in through the back.’ I thought as I quietly headed out of my car. I looked around and I saw no one coming. I thought my father would eventually follow me, but I was wrong. I guess he changed his mind and didn’t want to have anything to do with an evil person like me. But I loved it. The more far away he is, the better I can deal with the motherf**kers that had taken Daciana. Without making any noise, I walked to the back of the house, hoping to find another way in. And I did find it. I quietly turned the doorknob, but it was locked. I wanted to give them the element of surprise, but knocking
~Daciana~“Randall!” I yelled in terror, hoping and praying so hard that he would respond, but he didn’t. He laid there, lifeless, back in his human form. “How could you do this?!” I broke into tears, weakly falling to my knees, and only the chains held me up. I saw my life shatter in front of me. The love of my life was gone, and it was all my fault. I shouldn’t have come here. I should have told him. I should have stayed out of it like he begged me to. “It’s all my fault,” I yelled, crying profusely. “Of course. You made a terrible mistake the day you called me to tell me about your fake feelings for me.” “You didn’t have to kill him!” “I wanted to and I don’t regret any of it. You broke my heart, and I’m just returning the favor.” “You’ll rot in hell! Today is his birthday!” I roared, and when I looked at Randall, I broke into more tears. “I’m sorry. I’m so sorry.” Tears filled up my eyes that I could hardly see clearly. “Riley, what the f**k?! You fucking killed him?!” Jo
~Daciana~ With a straight face, clenched jaws, and reddish eyes, I stood under the black umbrella, dressed in black and surrounded by so many people in black. It was raining and it made the day even worse and annoyingly moist. My eyes were void of emotions as I watched the priests do whatever the hell they wanted to do on their graves. There were two different mournings and none of them seemed to interest me. First was Randall’s burial, and the other, was the burial for the child my mother lost at birth. Well, she did lose the child that same day, and I lost two important people in my life that day. All because of Jonathan and Riley! For a week, after Randall left me, I have been picturing this particular day in my head and I just wanted it not to happen. However, I was so eager for something else to happen, and that was to watch Jonathan get killed for doing this to Randall. For doing this to my family. Over the plinking and tapping of raindrops, I could hear my mother a
