“What are you talking about?!” I asked in disbelief, walking behind him.

“I’m talking about what is going to save our asses here.” He answered, opening the door to his room.

“No, we didn’t have to go this far! You managed to convince the King that there’s nothing behind us, thank you. But you didn’t have to drag somebody else into this. We could have just agreed to stay away from each other or pretend to hate each other again.” I responded, walking into his room too.

“And you think just saying we are not a thing would work?! My father was super convinced and he only softened when I mentioned that you had a lover! It worked.” He shrugged.

I began to think that maybe this was all game to him because he did not seem bothered about dragging someone innocent into our mess.

“Listen, Prince Randall, if I claim Riley is my lover, I have to prove to him and everyone that I am in love with him. I’ll be using him.” I uttered, and he groaned and moved closer to me.
