Chapter Forty-Nine.

Six months later.

“Lily, are you sure about this?” Clara asks, nodding my head she heaves a sigh.

I’ve spent the last six months living with her in a two bedroom apartment. Avery is over a year old and his stuff has taken over the apartment. It’s time I got my own place, for me and Avery.

I finally found a decent job working as a secretary at the historical museum. I can honestly say I love my job, not only do I learn more about history but I like everyone I work with.

It’s a great place to work.

“Fine. But I’m not happy about it,” Clara says, walking into the building. The biltmore is located right by time square and not too far from my job and Avery’s daycare, so it was the most convenient place to be.

“Dwayne keeps popping in on you and I can’t risk him seeing me,” I say, after catching up with her.

She narrows her eyes. “And what will he say when he doesn’t see Avery?” Clara said.

I’ve already come up with an idea for that if it was to come
