My dreams were no longer normal.

They were now instruments of Saltos.

Instruments of extreme torment.

I could no longer withstand him…not anymore.

He was too powerful, and I was too weak.

True, the wounds on some people were still healing, and the town was in ruin. That should have been enough action, but I could have felt the call of war in my soul. It was beckoning to me. It called me; it pulled at my spirit, and all I wanted was to leap at a monster's throat and tear it to shreds.

I turned to him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

“You should go to your wife. Tell her the truth; I can't have her hoping for something untrue." I said sadly. It had been the case with me. I was waiting for my father in front of our cabin, waiting and pleading for him to come home. But he did not.

I had hoped those robbers would spare my family, but they had not either.

Hope was nothing but a facade—a stupid little blue scam.

He looked at me with Sad eyes and nodded. "She's pregnant."
