Ansari's Pov

She looked at her, confused. Another boulder landed next to us, disintegrating the poor souls unfortunate enough to be within its reach.

Blood was everywhere around me: on the pavement, on the houses, and on the poor dead people who had gotten crushed.

"Good God," I whispered. And then the ringing came to my ears, a low but intense high-frequency tone threatening to destroy my eardrums.

"Mum?" Mira called desperately.

"Mom, what's wrong?" Her voice was growing distant, and I turned to get away.

I yelled out a war cry and began running towards the monster. Parts of the road had been broken up, and pieces of metal jotted out. I jumped from one piece of concrete to another and hopped around like a ballerina.

The monster looked down and saw me advancing towards it. It roared angrily and squinted at me.

"Foolish bastard, you've already tried that once." I yelled and sprinted at full speed.

An average Werewolf is astonishingly fast compared to a human. When we put our mi

Almost took us the entire day to do so." Olivia replied."What happened, honey?" my father asked, his voice gud and choked with worry. I reached to him and held his hand. "I don't know. It must have been a mistake, but I took the portion, and I found myself in the middle of a highway.""You were lucky. People in Iceland are better drivers than those in the states." Magnus had been quiet since I got in, and I wanted to hear him talk, even if it was just one word."How do you feel now dear?" My father asked."Just a number, but I'm better than I was," I replied. I looked at Magnus, and his eyes caught mine immediately. What was the issue? Why wasn't he talking to me? His silence bothered me, but I did not want it to. The world was in serious trouble, and I had the awful burden of carrying all this weight.

Magnus said frantically as he held me while staring at the wall of thunder and lightning before us.Now, he chooses to talk. I was in no mood to speak, not anymore."We'll tell you what's in the fucking boot just stop this." My father yelled as the car came a foot closer to the wall of charged electricity. Millions of nerve endings and necrotic cells interconnect the brain. A single thought you make is passed on like bolts of electricity through the brain as it processes it in under a second. That was how long I had to call off the lightning storm before us—less than a freaking second."Fucking hell, your child is crazy," Olivia screamed. Everyone breathed relief, and Olivia stepped out of the vehicle and doubled down on her knees, taking heavy breaths."Are you mad? Do you want to kill us?" My father screamed at me. I wasn't trying to kill them. I knew they would talk b

Gabriel's povI have known her for twenty years; this was the first time I knew this. She smiled as the car pulled up into the hangar. I did not know what to expect, and even if I had known, I would not have expected this."Since when did you ow,n such things Olivia?" I asked out of shock."Come on. My mother is the moon Goddess. I can't go poor or whatever you expected of me," she said with a smile and stepped out of the car.I stepped out of the car, too, and looked up at the magnificent piece of engineering. It wasn't even a little aircraft; she had a freakin Boeing 747."How can you afford a 747?" Magnus asked in shock. He knew his planes. "There's no way the animals you hunt are expensive enough to get you this.""It's not a 747," Olivia corrected. It's a dreamlifter, and I didn't buy it. I stole it," she added with a wry smile."But don't talk bad about my trade. Hunting's really profitable.""Uhmmm…" Selene muttered from behind us. I turned to her. She looked like a pale ghost,

Ansari's pov.I sprang from my bed, drenched in cold sweat and fear—Jasper's threat.I looked out the window; it was already dusk.Yes, your people will be killed before the dawn of tomorrow. You might try your best to save them, but you already have a lot on your hands. His exact words, I could try to save them if I wished.I rose to my feet, the pain and the injuries were forgotten, and I tried to make my way to the door, but I was too fucking lightheaded. Gabriel's pov"Solum thirsty…solum needs water.""You will be drowning in your blood soon enough." Olivia spat. Her words made the little creature shudder, and I felt them in my soul."Do not do this. We need it." I said desperately."What exactly do we need it for?" She asked."For one, Saltos communicates with his army via a kind of mind link, like Mates do. So if Saltos gives a command…""This little shit could relay it to us over here." Olivia gasped and stared at me for a moment."You're a genius." She exclaimed.I smiled and breathed a sigh of relief. "Once we get to Saltos, I'll kill it," she said and dropped the monster down. Until then, you're watching after it. Abd is cleaning up after it." She had already begun to walk toward the place when she stopped and turned to me."Abd, you're feeding it from your rations."I smiled and nodded. She turned back and continued to the plane. After she boarded, I looked down at the goblinGoblin and smiled. It was a shivering fear."Solum

Daruis's pov"Death to the Witch spawn," Saltos commanded, and I felt the monster's heart fill with joy. They proceeded into the portal and rushed into the forests. The wolves all around tried to fight back, but they could not withstand them. They could not fight off the avalanche of destruction that was Saltos. He was riding a horse of death and destruction, and my people died in their thousands."You!!" a voice yelled out in shock. I turned to the monster and looked at him. It was no monster; it was a friend, someone whom I had once known and had called family."Jake," I said in shock. "I could not believe it when they told me when they said so much to me. You who I thought…"He was cut short by a spear to his heart. The wood was exposed from the front of his chest, and blood splattered from his mouth."Goddess have mercy." He groaned before he fell to the ground. Nessa looked back at me with a proud look on her face."Death to the Witch spawn." I tried to smile, but the smile was

Selene's pov"Selene, you must hurry. You don't have much time left. Saltos marches for you home; he tries to kill everyone you love." The soft voice of the Goddess whispered, but I could not see her.I was surrounded by darkness."Wait!!" I called desperately. Where was she?"Wait, come back." But I could already feel her leave. And then… I awoke to the soft splashing of water all around me. It was already late at night, and I did not know where I was. Beautiful leaves danced on trees, and water flowed down a lovely stream. I sat upright, and a migraine shot up my head. My hand went up to my hand and stayed there. How long was I out? It felt like I had been asleep for years. My body felt reborn and healthy, except for the stupid migraine. Darius walked out of the bushes on my right, completely startling the hell out of me."Hey, I'm sorry!" Darius said with his hand up. He smiled at me and extended his right leg. "Can I move now?" He asked."Yeah, of course," I said awkwardly.

Selene's pov(In the R.V., another memory.)"How are you?" Alex asked. I was lying on her twin-sized bed next to her. I should have gone home; I wanted to go home, but I could not bear the empty house. I thought I would find comfort there, but when I walked into her room… I ran over here, over to my best friend. "I don't know. I feel numb." I whispered. I had thought I would cry for hours over my mum, but the tears had dried up, and no matter how hard I wanted them to fall, they stayed dried up. "I know you're hurting over your mom. I could never imagine what it feels like to lose your mother. But that's not what I'm talking about." She turned over on the bed and faced me."What are you talking about then?" I asked, genuinely confused.Alex cleared her throat and looked at me uneasily. "How do you feel now? especially after meeting your father." She asked and watched me curiously. My anger returned swiftly, and bitterness enveloped me like a thin shroud."How could she do that?" I

He explained. He was already in his briefs."Oh," I exclaimed. It made more sense now he explained himself. My hand went to the black shirt, and I was about to take it off when I noticed his eyes on my body. I instantly blushed and turned my face away. His constant staring made me super uncomfortable."Do you mind?" I asked shyly. He looked at me dumbfounded, like he just discovered I existed."What?" He asked, confused."I’m taking the clothes off." I explained."Ohhh." He said and turned away. "I'll be downstairs when you're done.” He said, closing the door behind him as he walked away. The room was suddenly quiet, but I was grateful for it. I took the shirt off gingerly; my ribs hurt me like hell. I walked to the mirror and stood in front of the mirror; I traced my hand through my skin, tr

  • My Lycan Mate Rejection    Chapter 100:Hello from an old enemy

Gabriel's povI stared in awe as the army of wolves of every single pack in Western America rushed down the hills of Moonstone in all of their terrifying power. The moon was not out, and all I could witness was them in their normal human states, but even that brought joy to my eyes. The monsters looked at one another in confusion. The army that Saltos had called forth was one terrifying number, but they were scattered across the battlefield without accurate coordination."Form your lines!" Saltos's voice boomed angrily. He had lost all of his former coordination as desperation began." Form your lines, you bloody idiots."But it was already too late for that. Mira got to her feet and slit the throat of the login that was next to her. The other wolves of our pack saw what she did, and one by one, they picked up their swords and began to press the enemy."Fight back, you idiots!" their leader cried. "stand and fight!" a large goblin turned on his heels and began to run."No, no, no, no,"

Ansari's povI looked up at the figure that hovered over the town In wonder. Was that the child that I had condemned to death out of fear of who she was?Of who she represented?"Mom!!" Magnus cried as he sighted his mother."Magnus!!" Mira yelled, and I turned just in time to see mother and child run to each other. They locked in a firm embrace as the formally strung and formidable Mira sank to her knees in tears."I thought we had lost you." She cried. "I'm sorry mom." "Why didn't you call? It's been two weeks. We thought you were dead.""I can explain everything.” He said with a smile. My daughter's face radiated with joy.I looked around for Gabriel, but he was nowhere to be seen.My mind raced to conclusions as I feared the worst. Now was not the time for news like this. If Gabriel were dead, it would shatter Mira and the little strength she had left."Where's Gabriel?" I heard her ask. Ansari's povYou alright?" I paid no heed to the man as I ran down the corridor.A hand grabbed mine, and I was flung into someone's chest."Shhhh." The baritone voice said. I knew that voice. I looked up to see Conner looking down at me. "Let me go." I whispered."No." He whispered back. Conner was the only person who knew what I had become, the only one who saw the true me. I loved him so much and still did, but he could never."Please let me go." I cried."I have loved you, and this won't ever change things. Never." Gabriel's povMy legs hurt, and the distant feeling of vomit sitting at the back of my throat like some final boss was not helping me on this trek. It has been a good two days since we arrived in Iceland, and the entire company was utterly exhausted. I could not vouch for anyone, but I could bet that I was the most exhausted one out of the three of us. From time to time, I remember when there were four of us. An extra one that had been my responsibility to care for, one I had allowed to be corrupted and destroyed."It's beautiful here," Selene remarked. I looked around at the scenery here. I left Iceland long ago, but even in my memories, it had been a place of extraordinary beauty. It was a good thing that it had not changed. "Yes, it truly is," I replied. It was hard not to fall asleep while driving, but Magnus was terrible. Selene was entirely out of the question. Completely."So this is Akur…""Akureyri." I helped. She rolled her eyes and nodded."Roll off the tip of your tongu

Selene's pov."What news?" I asked."Saltos opened a portal to our side.""To moonstone?" I asked, fear spear diving through every cell I had in me. Magnus shook his head. "No, but he took the guardians of the most powerful weapon known to our kind. It was one he had used when he was still of this world, before he was banished. It was taken away from moonstone immediately he was released but he found it and massacred and entire pack just to get it. He has it all now, all that remains is to lay waste to everything we hold dear. My mother, my grandmother, my pack and yours."His words were like a knife to my heart, and I was suddenly lightheaded. I collapsed, but he caught me deftly and pulled me back to my feet. "No." I whispered in disbelief."It is the truth child." My father said sadly."You are the only hope we have of beating him," Olivia said. Her words hurt me more than every other person's."Of beating salts?" I asked, "You saw what happened the last time? • My Lycan Mate Rejection    Chapter 95: It was a crazy escape three weeks ago.

Selene's pov.It has not always been easy; I have had many jobs and menial work to get what the other kids could afford. My mother's health did not make things much better, and I had to do the best for both of us, but it never bothered me one bit. But I never complained, I never felt like I was missing out, and all I ever did was love those around me.So why me? Why was the world so ready to destroy me?To hate me.“It's empty." I said. “It's all empty.""This doesn't make sense," Darius muttered.“Where's the prophecy?" I asked Darius. He was busy staring at a blank page of the paper. Panic was beginning to set in my mind, and I could not deal with him panicking.I grabbed him by the shoulders and shook him. “Darius!! Why are they empty?"He turned to me with confused eyes. "I don't- I don't know." He scratched his head and returned to study the blank pages. What the hell did he mean by that? He picked the book; he had to know."Did you maybe pick the wrong book?" I asked desperat

Darius's pov.I turned off my phone and looked up at the road before me. So that was the girl? That was Selene.I had never had a girlfriend before; I was always too shy to approach anyone, but this girl, this chick, was something else. Where do you even get eyes like that from?A sigh left my lips, fucking hell, I was tired. I looked at the town around me. It had not changed that much since I left. The same people's houses and I was sure they all still had the same ideology. They tried to act the same way in situations that needed to be solved with modern ideologies.A group of kids were playing soccer on a field, and one of them looked up and saw me.He smiled and waved at me. I smiled and waved back.At least they were not so shy anymore; that was good."Hey!!" A feminine voice called. I turned around to see a slim figure running towards me. It was Selene. My heart skipped a beat within me. She was a different specimen. My God!"Hey." She panted and rested her palms on her knees
