Emily fell on her bed feeling worn out for the first time since the beginning of that day. That morning, when they walked about the forest, during the attack and even after, she had been so full of energy that now she wondered where it emanated from. She sighed as her mind ran through the events of the days and especially what happened when she and Andrew were making out. She couldn't pretend that she didn't notice the sudden change in him, before they were interrupted by the knock. "Andrew." Emily called out.Andrew staggered backwards, her hair was packed up in a ponytail, just like Selene's. "Andrew" she called out again, dusting her shorts. "Elias," Douglas said into the phone, "What's holding your return to Brighton?" Douglas looked haggard, his hair which had always been slicked back now shot out. His beard was now overgrown and scruffy. His immaculately clean and starched clothes were now rumpled and scraggly. Books were scattered all over the place, some shelves were toppled over, others were broken and the splinters and pieces strewn over the study.Douglas desk fared worse, different bottles of liquor stood or laid on it alongside crumpled bits of paper, food wrapper and broken glass. Caleb jerked up from a terrifying nightmare and found himself on the damp forest ground. He looked around groggily trying to remember why he was in a charred part of the forest.
